Sideboard

A mono-red deck built around Scrap Mastery loops. I'll start off by giving a brief explanation of each category of the deck and then I'll break down some of the various combos and how they work.

The foundation for most Commander decks begins with their acceleration. With this being a Mono-Red artifact deck it's happy to play its fair share of mana rocks.
These are the sacrifice outlets for the artifacts. The deck wants to use these to establish powerful engines and continually recur/accrue resources.
These cards help make up the other half of the “engine.” Using artifacts to do their best Aristocrats impression is often the easiest and most available way to generate card advantage. The deck does feature a decent amount of card draw, but due to the heavy artifact theme and the restriction of being Mono-Red most of those cards are expensive to cast. Having a lot of cards on the board that interact with each other at one time is the biggest reason to play this deck. It can be skill intensive, rewarding, and offers plenty to do even when the pilot has run out of cards in hand.
The tutor package is fairly limited. Considering the game plan is to make the game go long and outlast the opposition anyway, that’s not a huge deal. There will generally be plenty of time to find the pieces that are needed.
There aren't a lot of cheap card draw effects, but the ones that are included are powerful. Many of them are artifacts meaning that sometimes their mana cost can be cheated and the permanent can be recurred should it be destroyed.
There isn't an abundance of targeted removal and instead the deck leans heavily on its sweepers. Having said that, it’s still important to be able to deal with a single threat without undoing the entire board state in the process.
Ugin, the Spirit Dragon , All Is Dust , and Vandalblast are one sided or nearly one sided board wipes. They can decimate opposing boards while leaving Slobad's intact. Nevinyrral's Disk and Oblivion Stone are both powerful sweepers that the deck can get repeated access to due to its artifact recursion. Blasphemous Act rounds out this package as a cheap powerful creature sweeper.
The miscellaneous section is, well, just that. There are a lot of silver bullet cards here to help Slobad compete against specific opposing strategies. Silent Arbiter and Glacial Crevasses make sure Slobad's not swarmed by creature and token decks. They help slow down the pace of the game. Tormod's Crypt is a way to combat opposing decks that also want to abuse their graveyard. There is also some amount of card filtering, copy effects, and protection mixed in. These cards aren’t always going to be great, but in the games that they’re not what Slobad is looking for they can be looted away with Daretti, Scrap Savant or sacrificed to one of the sacrifice outlets for additional advantages.
Nevinyrral's Disk + Slobad, Goblin Tinkerer : This doesn't save Slobad from dying, but it does allow you to get two uses out of Nev Disk by sacrificing an artifact to make the Disk indestructible before activating.

Mycosynth Lattice + Vandalblast : When all permanents in play are artifacts an Overloaded Vandalblast wipes all permanents your opponents control including their lands.

Darksteel Forge + Nevinyrral's Disk : This combo is less brutal than the last one, but it can still create a lock on the game. Nevinyrral's Disk doesn't require itself to be sacrificed in order for its effect to happen. Generally that doesn't matter because it just blows itself up anyway, but Darksteel Forge changes that. This is a souped up version of the first combo listed.

Codex Shredder + Krark-Clan Ironworks + Scrap Mastery : Okay, this is the most complicated of all of the deck’s win conditions. Mainly because it works with many different combinations of cards. The three cards listed are the core here. Use Krark-Clan Ironworks to sacrifice all of Slobad's on board artifacts, sacrificing Krark-Clan Ironworks last. Remember to use all of the artifacts tap abilities before you sacrifice them. So tap all mana rocks for mana, Staff of Nin for 1 damage, etc. Also remember to tap all artifact lands for mana and also sacrifice them. After doing that cast Scrap Mastery and return all artifacts from Slobad's graveyard to the battlefield. Once the artifacts are back, resolve their enter the battlefield effects, tap them for their abilities, and sacrifice them all to Krark-Clan Ironworks again, but this time do not sacrifice Codex Shredder. Instead, pay 5 mana and tap it to return Scrap Mastery to hand. This should create a loop each turn until all opponents can be buried in advantage. If there are enough mana rocks ( Gilded Lotus , for example, goes a long way in helping this chain) you should be able to loop this infinitely. Pyrite Spellbomb is an important card when performing infinite loops. If infinite colored mana is being generated then Spellbomb ends the game on the spot by dealing 2 damage each loop. If not, use 1 colorless mana each loop to sacrifice the Spellbomb to draw a card. Eventually Gilded Lotus will be found. Once Lotus has been found and cast then the loops can generate infinite colored mana so that Spellbomb can end the game. Scrap Mastery loops are the way that the deck wins most often.
