This is Designed to deal commander damage with Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker with artifact equipment to buff. Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper is more for life gain, works well when paired with Sanguine Bond

Charix, the Raging Isle just looked fun to use here for life gain.

Serra the Benevolent if you can get the last ability out then you don't have to worry so much about having so little to defend with.
