This deck is built around the combo of Necrotic Ooze + Devoted Druid/Channeler Initiate + Thornling. With the Ooze on the battlefield and the middle two cards in your graveyard, Druid and Initiate combine to make infinite mana as described below:

1) Tap Ooze and make G with Druid's ability. 2) Untap Ooze and put a -1/-1 counter on it w/ Druid's other ability. 3) Tap Ooze, remove the -1/-1 counter, and make one mana of any color with Initiate's ability.

Steps 1-3 produce two mana and can be repeated indefinitely.

A Thornling in your graveyard allows immediate execution of the combo by giving Ooze haste.

Ishkanah plays a key defensive role by making four bodies with reach. Since this relies on consistently achieving delirium, many card choices for the deck were made around getting cards in the 'yard and having the widest spread of card types possible. Due to the self-mill aspect of the deck, the graveyard can be used for general value and as a source of pseudo card advantage.

Ishkanah is also the ultimate wincon of the deck- once the combo is assembled, her ability can be activated as many times as needed to drain the other players out of the game.
