Angels, a Cleric or Two, Life Gain, and A Splash of For My Control Addiction.

The purpose of this deck isn’t to kill. The goal is to simply win the game through life gain, although attacking is a very viable option. Taxes, exiling, and detaining should help buy enough time to get the life gain started.

(This deck is pretty easy to make modern legal, just take out Blinding Angel and Light of Day, that should be about it.)

Angel of Destiny + Angelic Accord is a good example of what I’m aiming for, especially since she’s the featured card. Bishop of Wings provides life, and token generation should any angel die.

Archangel of Tithes + Martial Law makes attacking this deck much more difficult, and outright impossible temporarily should Blinding Angel get a hit.

Holy Day + Pacifism to buy time.

Smothering Tithe + Tithe Taker on top of the other taxes can really drain an opponent if they aren’t careful.

Iona, Shield of Emeria is here should Angel of Destiny fail, Iona speaks for herself.

Absorb + Syncopate are my most used counters, Horribly Awry helping out a lot against more creature heavy decks. Absorb provides life gain, after all.

So, that’s the basic idea of this. Thanks for checking out my deck, it’s not a final draft, but it’s close.
