Sideboard

I have decided to throw together a BW Control deck. No creatures main board and hopefully a relatively transformative sideboard.

The Planeswalker Suite

Planeswalkers are pretty much the way this deck wins, there are other options, but predominantly game 1 with no creature cards main board the best way to win is through tokens generated or Emblems.

Gideon, Ally of Zendikar - one of the best ways for me to win, protects himself and beats down as a huge 5/5. Additionally his emblem gives my tokens more umph. Wish I had more.

Ob Nixilis Reignited - also an excellent planeswalker, mainly for removal and card draw, however his ultimate is real and can destroy players in a control match up.

Sorin, Grim Nemesis - excellent source of card advantage and removal + Lifegain. I do not see myself using Sorin's ultimate as I would be too subject to a huge blow out from opponents mass removal.

The Removal Suite

Ways in which to control the board. Having no creatures means I want to stop my opponent having theirs, so I need A LOT of removal in order to keep the opponents board clear and my life points healthy.

Languish - awesome mass removal, boy do I regret trading in 2 when origins was first released. Mass board wipes. Also overcomes Archangel Avacyn  's indestructible clause.

Planar Outburst - second piece of mass removal. Just a nice clean wrath effect. If the game goes long enough can even create me a couple of creatures.

Declaration in Stone - only sorcery speed but still a premium removal card with being able to exile multiple creatures, handy against armies of tokens or even the same named creature.

Ruinous Path - my final piece of sorcery speed removal, can get rid of creatures, but most importantly can get rid of planeswalkers which I may be susceptible to. Needs further testing.

Stasis Snare - an Enchantment but is instant speed so good. Exile effect, but I prefer it over card: silk wrap as I have plenty 2 drop removals and doesn't have the limitations.

Anguished Unmaking - 3 mana exile almost anything. What more can a guy want. The life cost however is real, but with a Shambling Vent or two I should be able to Negate this. This card is particularly important for Enchantment and Artifact removal. I'm unsure whether I need to run 3 rather than 2.

To the Slaughter - Delirium is unlikely to be achieved, however is good against opponents who don't go wide and can cause them to sacrifice their hexproof or indestructible fatty.

Ultimate Price - a 2 drop removals spell, obvs only against mono-coloured creatures. Best target atm Sylvan Advocate.

Grasp of Darkness - another 2 drop removals spell, almost a targeted Languish. Is good vs indestructible and can also kill Avacyn when she comes down.

The Draw Suite

Need to be able to keep going if all I play is 1 for 1's. Unsure if I need more sources of draw. Even just one or two more. After testing this may be an option.

Read the Bones - Strictly better, I feel, than Painful Truths. The Card selection/filter is important and still costs less life.

Hallowed Moonlight - draw a card, simple. Other ability is useful, see below.

The Useful Card Suite

Hallowed Moonlight - this card is a bit of a silver bullet against cards like Secure the Wastes, Collected Company & Hangarback Walker as it stops them entering the battlefield yay.

Dark Petition - allows me to search any answer. And gain mana back. Particularly good if I need that particular removal card, or mass removal or planeswalker.

Transgress the Mind - hand disruption, allows me to the make pesky planeswalkers, card advantage spells or counters. Not overly bothered by creatures with the amount of removal in my deck.

Shambling Vent - had to mention my favourite land. Just keep swinging if the board is clear, need it so much for the life gain as between Read the Bones, Anguished Unmaking & Ob Nixilis Reignited my deck can be pretty punishing in terms of life drain.

The Win Condition Suite

Apart from my planeswalkers I have two other ways to win and they are.

Westvale Abbey   - so the dream is end of turn Secure the Wastes and then on my turn sack them and transform Westvale and swing with Ormendahl.

Secure the Wastes - can be used to summon Ormendahl or in conjuction with Gideon's Emblem for the beats
