Deck Purpose

Wanted to try making a deck that wasn't Arcum and decided to try this one. Wow, is it quick. No, this is not very resilient and no, you will not beat a lot of hate cards, but it is fun. This deck will consistently win on either the same turn or quicker than Arcum, while having a slightly more durable commander. In addition to this, the main wincon is so much more fun than just creating infinite mana and winning.

How it Works

Pretty obvious combo from Dominaria involving Godo and Helm of the Host. Essentially how this works is you ramp up to get Godo out as early as possible (turn 2-4 is common), then grab Helm of the Host. If you have 5 mana, equip it and win. If not, wait a turn to equip it and win.

The combo is somewhat self-explanatory. After grabbing both pieces and equipping, it creates a copy of Godo that is not legendary and has haste.

Attack with both copies of Godo.

The newest copy's ability triggers, untapping it and all Samurai (none).

You now have another combat step.

Helm trigger.

Create a copy of the original Godo.

Attack with the copy.

Repeat.

Congrats to those who figured out the not-so-subtle reference to Vesuva (because of Helm of Hosts).
