An attempt to go infinite - and win the game - with two sets of a 3-card-combo by around turn 4 whilst utilizing a lot of tutors to really assemble that three-piece-combo reliably.
This is the significantly altered version of my Abzan Blasting Solemnity deck. However, I believe that this version is "better".
The idea is to exploit the persist-effect of Putrid Goblin or Safehold Elite.
Altar of Dementia and Goblin Bombardment both offer an activated ability, that allows to sacrifice a creature for a potential game-winning effect, namely mill and direct damage.
While I initially wanted to use Solemnity, it's now Vizier of Remedies and the rather new Thran Vigil preventing our persist-creatures effectively from entering the battlefield with the -1/-1 counters, although by different means.
You can fairly regularly assemble the three-piece-combo by turn 4, leaving one mana open on turn 1 and turn 3 each for e.g. Path to Exile or Spoils of the Vault
Having to use Profane Tutor still allows for a turn 4 win, since all combo pieces have CMC2.
The universal Profane Tutor can literally get any card, be it a land or any of the three combo pieces. Best played on turn 2 directly to have the combo ready by turn 4. I personally find Spoils of the Vault to be rather hilarious due to its unconventional style and being an instant tutor. Naming a card which you are running 4 copies of and that you do not have in hand, leaves you with statistically 13 damage on turn 1, which diminishes with every draw or fetch due to deck-thinning. Do or die trying. Since it's a dangerous one-trick-pony, you can exchange the three copies with literally anything from the sideboard without hesitation after game one.
The selection of lands tries to supply utility and diversify the game plan. I could have opted for a clean 3-colour-manabase with fetches and shocks, but I opted for Gemstone Caverns, Indatha Triome and Savai Triome. Being on the draw Gemstone Cavern technically allows for a turn 3 win and Prismatic Ending is now a legit choice as it can literally get rid of any nonland-permanent seeking to disrupt the gameplan such as Pithing Needle, Relic of Progenitus or Grafdigger's Cage.
The Sideboard is a work in progress. I am currently considering Leyline Binding and Blacksmith's Skill as well as Summoner's Pact.
I might add Zulaport Cutthroat to circumvent hexproof or shroud, but that would make it a 4-piece-combo. In any case the three copies of Spoils of the Vault should be switched out with cards to either protect the combo like Leyline of Sanctity or to disrupt our opponent's gameplan with Relic of Progenitus or March of Otherworldly Light.
Since the deck potentially enables it, I am using Jegantha, the Wellspring as companion. It's a chonky creature at our disposal after all. Just remember that you can not have Jegantha as a companion in match 2 or 3 when sideboarding in Leyline of Sanctity.
Anyway, feel free to try the deck in Playtest-Mode or even in a paper-game and let me know how you performed!
Feedback and suggestion is much appreciated.
