It wasn't expected to make THAT much mana!

I'd prefer Banefire over Exsanguinate due to Banefire being unable to be countered if X is 5 or more (which it will be in this case). I sideboard in Exsanguinate against decks that play Leyline of Sanctity .
I also would prefer to not add any other creatures other than possibly another Eldrazi. Which would be harder to remove than a Hydra as well as Annihilator potentionaly prevents blocking.

Well if your worrying about being countered I don't know why you aren't having Condescend mixed with an infinite mana combo. nothing of your will ever be countered again.

I actually never thought about Condescend ...I thought about Syncopate because of the X cost and exile, but the Scry would actually be pretty sweet for this deck!
Thanks for the suggestion!

No problem, I would also recommend Divine Deflection which would help keep you in the game longer.

That's not a bad card either. I can actually use that against Burn/Aggro decks, and it can win the game too!

Yeah, So it is a good card to play if they are about to win. and you can make it work with blocking with Drift of Phantasms and then deal the damage to the player

- Rejex This deck is revolved around Grand Architect + Pili-Pala to make the infinite Mana. I don't want to add any other creatures into the deck because all of the creatures I have in the deck help with the combo (Grand Architect + Pili-Pala make the mana, Drift of Phantasms tutors for Grand Architect as well as Blue Sun's Zenith for the win when I have infinite mana, and Emrakul because he ends games himself and since I'm casting him I get an extra turn)
What I'm mostly looking for is for non-creature cards that I don't have in the deck currently that'll help make this deck more competitive.

- Rejex No worries! I really appreciate the comments as well as suggestions! I was just explaining why I disagree about adding your suggestions to the deck... I may try that out in the future if I can get the feel for it because it involves Blue (I love anything and everything in MTG that's BLUE!)
Thanks for the comments!

I would drop the Blue Sun's Zenith for a play set of vision and Gitaxian Probe and a third Banefire consistency is much more a necesity for these kinds of decks. You want faster draw and those can trigger much sooner so as to help speed the deck i would run those. Also why not also run Remand ? Counter a spell and draw? Much more useful for your kind of deck. Also would want to run Think Twice because its another cheap costing draw spell. Your just trying to draw out the deck for your combo so make it a very fast draw deck to do this.

You also might want to use some more cards with scry

Jamesfurrow, the Blue Sun's Zenith isn't in the deck to help me draw lol. I have it in there so that I can make my opponent draw out there Library (plus extra cards to win the game). That's the best win con. spell because it's Instant speed and you can't prevent card draw. What makes it so good is that I have to attack with Pili-Pala to get him Tapped to do the combo on Turn 3. If I do it on Turn 3 and they got another Flying Creature to block with, I can do the combo during Combat and win the game before Pili-Pala becomes blocked!
Think Twice isn't as good as my other Draw spells because 1) Think Twice 's CMC is 1 higher than Gitaxian Probe and Serum Visions 2) I only draw 1 card from it where with Serum Visions I get to Scry 2, and with Gitaxian Probe I get to see my opponents hand so I know what's coming. Train of Thought is for when I have the combo; but don't have Blue Sun's Zenith , Banefire or Emrakul, the Aeons Torn . With it; I draw my entire Library and I choose the best one (most of the time, it's Blue Sun's Zenith) to end the game right there.
I have thought about Remand . even though it is a great counterspell, something that's going to kill my creatures; I could care less about the card draw there as I don't want to waste another counterspell on the same removal spell again. Spell Pierce works perfect as I can use it on Turn 1, and Spell Snare is in the Sideboard. Pact of Negation all the time steals the show for counterspell's in the deck!

kingflintsteel, I would really like to add more Scry to the deck, but sadly Serum Visions is the only Scry spell that also Draw's that has CMC 1 or 2. I wish Preordain wasn't banned, that'd be a set over Serum Visions lol. But the only cards with Scry I can think of adding would have to be Condescend but with that, I pump as much into X and it still only takes 1 counterspell, if i don't use my combo, or if I use the combo with a dead hand. And the other card would be Mystic Speculation Scry 3 is really nice...except I don't get to Draw. I want the Draw as well to make it faster.

I run a similar deck...I have Skyscribing and Laboratory Maniac to go against the leylines
August 15, 2014 10:57 p.m.
Khanye, I don't think I'll add the combination of Laboratory Maniac + Skyscribing . It's a great combo to get around Leyline of Sanctity and even Witchbane Orb . Except I have an easier way to get around it; with Exsanguinate . I can tutor for the card using the Transmute with Muddle the Mixture , and it's one spell instead of a two spell combo that makes me require both Laboratory Maniac + Skyscribing .
Thanks for the suggestion/comment! Greatly appreciate your feedback!

rpearce - it does make infinite mana. Did you read the description?
I use Grand Architect 's first ability to turn Pili-Pala Blue by either Tapping one of Mana (minus Academy Ruins ) while Pili-Pala isn't summoning sick. Or for a 3rd turn win, tap Grand Architect to activate Pili-Pala 's untap ability and use the to add a Blue mana to your pool to turn him blue using Grand Architect 's first ability.
Then you can have infinite mana.

I would suggest adding Exsanguinate to your main board. Then I would suggest adding some hydras which would work well will a mana ramp deck like this.
