I wanted a wolves deck. It is mostly white and green, but has a splash of black so I can play Anafenza, the Foremost and the more interesting Gruuk -- Garruk, Cursed Huntsman.

Given Anafenza, the Foremost's counters ability, I wanted to make sure that I could gain life Pledge of Unity or draw cards Inspiring Call. Also, the counters help make my creatures large enough to hopefully kill of the other players creatures so they get exiled (Anafenza's second ability). There are other cards that help with placing counters like Renata, Called to the Hunt, Good-Fortune Unicorn, Jiang Yanggu, Wildcrafter, Ajani, the Greathearted, Loyal Guardian, etc.

This deck also has a lot of token generation (mostly wolves) like Wolfbriar Elemental,Wolfcaller's Howl, Kessig Cagebreakers, Wren's Run Packmaster, Wolf-Skull Shaman, etc.

There are things that support increasing (Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, Growing Ranks, Second Harvest, Anointed Procession) or protecting my tokens (Rootborn Defenses, Emmara Tandris).

Lastly, to stay in the wolf theme, I have things that do fun things with wolves like Master of the Wild Hunt, Tolsimir, Friend to Wolves, and Arlinn, Voice of the Pack.
