Fiery Gambit, even at the best of times, is unfortunately too much of a gambit. Boompile ends up being detrimental with all the artifact ramp this deck packs. And Mystic Confluence seems like a better use of that extra mana (at instant speed) rather than the free 4-CMC-or-less spell from Baral's Expertise. The deck also needed some more counterspells to tutor for and secure a combo win.
