In three words: "Modern Suicide Fog"
This started life as a sideboard idea for my other budget Turbofog deck Mana Quake Wins, but in the end I decided that it didn't really work as a sideboard and ought to be a deck in it's own right. Credit is due to Faerion and his deck Red Deads Wins, which is where I got the idea for this deck's win con and many of the cards that feature in it.
The deck has some of the features of more "usual" fog decks, but with a couple of differences. It has a couple of fog effects (of course) in the form of Dawn Charm, Ethereal Haze and
Kami of False Hope
. Otherworld Atlas Provides the card draw that will hopefully both keep me stocked with fog effects and help me hit my win con.
Since the deck seems vulnerable to discard, I have included
Ignorant Bliss
to try and prevent things like Thoughtseize from removing my win con. Usually, this sort of thing would sit in a sideboard, but I don't want to be bothered with one just at the moment, so it's in the maindeck. Since it draws a card the next turn I figure I don't lose out that much - and it thins the deck out a bit!
The win condition itself centers around
Near-Death Experience
and Volcano Hellion. Simply put, I play until I have
Near-Death Experience
on the board and then play Volcano Hellion to take me down to one life. If all has gone to plan, I should have either Angel's Grace in hand or Fortune Thief on the board to keep me alive through my opponent's next turn and... a winner is me!
I welcome any suggestions on how this could be improved, although I should point out that I want to keep this deck to a very low budget if at all possible.
