Believe in yourself and go with Holy Mantle instead of the Helm. The overall cmc of this deck is kinda low, so some 4 mana drops shouldn't be a problem. Moreover it gives you more mid to late game potenial.

Gods Willing is nice because of the Scry, but I would suggest Brave the Elements in mono-white is going to really have an impact.

@yad: Thanks for the feedback! I think Brave the Elements is the better choice if you plan to go into midrange or late game, but I'm trying to kill the opponent as fast as possible so Gods Willing is the better choice her. In addition unlike Brave the Elements Gods Willing triggers the heroic effect.

I'd say that considering mid-late game Ghostblade Eidolon is better then Fencing Ace , but early game it's the other way round.
I guess I'd go for the Eidolon.

@Dolansauce: Thanks for the suggestion! I think I'll stick with white...

perhaps a couple of Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and what about switching the ghostblades with Hero of Iroas ...Banishing Light works well too...i have a similar deck that got top 2 at FNM. i used Gift of Orzhova instead of Holy Mantle ...although i did start off with holy mantles...good deck..heroic is gonna be strong..

@njg80: Thanks for the feedback. I was already running this deck with some Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and I switched the Dauntless Onslaught with the new Phalanx Formation . Just didn't update... :) But I will try running the Hero of Iroas as you suggested! Does Gift of Orzhova pay off? It's one mana cheaper but it doesn't give you the protection form creatures....

the Holy Mantle still could be effective because you have the Hero of Iroas dropping the mana cost down a little...but Gift of Orzhova is great as a trigger for heroic(+2) and gives a guy flying..with lifelink to boot! with a hero out its only 2 to cast. its nice to have out a Fabled Hero with an ethereal armor on, then slap on the gift and you got a powerful double striking flyer with lifelink..giving a creature flying can sometimes win games..try 2 holy mantle and 2 gift of orzhova maybe?

Too bad there's no Favored Hoplite , I love that card...Still nice heroic deck :)

I'm curious why you decided to go with Gods Willing
over Brave the Elements
?

Gods Willing triggers Heroic and provides the scry, which is always useful. Brave the Elements only really shines in combination with a multi-creature alpha strike.
Cool deck, +1. Thought about Heliod, God of the Sun ? Buffs both your Eidolon of Countless Battles and Ethereal Armor , and is very easy to turn into a creature. Vigilance is a hell of a boon in weenie decks too.

I agree with djakes. Just a 2 of for Heliod would be destructive if you dropped him on an opponent. One other thing I'd like to recommend is Dictate of Heliod . Its a bit high of a mans cost, but Nykthos, should allow an easy cast, plus you can Flash it in to destroy your opponents well-thought-out block. Or even if you need to attack but you're just shy of killing your opponent, Flash in Dictate. I think that's legal :P

Sorry for this, but you failed typing "your" twice in the description. As for suggestions, since that was sort of rude, I guess Armament of Nyx would be fun.

Oh shittttt, sorry.. I thought it gave Double-Strike to humans, not enchantments, damn. Uuhhhmmmm... MORE CREATURES! xD Favored Hoplite or Soldier of the Pantheon

Considering 12 of your creatures are Soldiers, did you consider Preeminent Captain ? He can let you play your creatures during combat for free whilst tapped and attacking. The best buddy for Preeminent Captain is Brimaz, King of Oreskos as you play him for free, he attacks, and so does the Cat Token he produces.
This can help keep your mana open for Instant Pump spells once Blockers are declared.

to the comment of IzzetGod
Preeminent Captain is certainly a good addition to this deck, but you're wrong about the interaction with Brimaz, King of Oreskos . As stated on the card, Brimaz has to 'attack', which means being declared as an attacker. Only then will he produce a cat token. Since he enters the battlefield attacking, he's never declared as an attacker, thus doesn't produce a token if he enters the battlefield this way.
July 27, 2014 11:10 a.m.
Oh, my bad. I thought that since he was attacking because it says "Whenever Brimaz, King of Oreskos attacks..." you'd still get the token...

Nah I think he had it right in the first place. "Whenever Brimaz, King of Oreskos attacks..." well he IS attacking. He doesn't have to be declared I think. I think its any time or situation that he attacks that the effect activates.
July 27, 2014 6:53 p.m.
As far as I see it JenteVW is right. Normally an attacker is declared only in the "declare attackers step" according to all the rules defined in rule 508.Of course Brimaz is attacking a player but technically he never was declared to do so by a player in the declaring step. So there will be no tokens produced by him... Sadly ;)
I will include Preeminent Captain to the play tests anyway... We'll see how he performs...

I think you should lose the 4 Chosen by Heliod and add 2x Heliod, God of the Sun and 2x Gift of Orzhova
