In a deck that goes wide giving my creatures skulk is not as attractive as giving them +1/+1.

I see both side's of that argument. However, Skulk does not mean unblockable since there are so many token decks or pasty white humans running around. At least if they all had +1/+1 they might live through the attack, and if they don't at least they are more likely to take things with them. You really only need one to get through anyway to hit with Might of the Masses, and if you also dropped a Foul-Tongue Shriek you probably just won anyway.

Drana, Liberator of Malakir been thinking of this instead of Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen the counters build and don't fade off other creatures if she dies

Ok so I made 4th out of 10. Lost to red/blue control and black/white life gain ally. The red/blue played me before. I couldn't keep elf's up for win. Went 0-3. Black/white went 1-2. Was close for awhile. But his fast life gain and mill life.
So my report despite not being elves. Zulaport Cutthroat and Drana, Liberator of Malakir. Played extremely well. Duskwatch Recruiter Flip was horrible waste of time. You can't flip him with the creatures you cast. And will unflip him on multiple cast of creatures or spells.

I don't think Duskwatch Recruiter Flip belongs in an elf deck, as well as Zulaport Cutthroat. It limits Shaman burn and doesn't recruit elves as fast as Sylvan Messenger And Foul-Tongue Shriek does the same thing as Cutthroat does in this deck. Trading the ability to turn it on at instant speed for a 1/1 body with no protection doesn't seem like a fair trade-off to me.

@chainer yes was hard decision to shift off a few elves. But the Duskwatch Recruiter Flip does ALOT for this deck. It's a mini Coco and if it flips it will shred the creatures out your hand even faster. Only problem I had was i couldn't really sac mana for his ability with everything else going on. But he's a hold green

I feel as though flipping Duskwatch Recruiter Flip would be very difficult in a deck like this and using his mana to get more creatures from your deck instead of playing ones in your hand? I'm not sure his usefulness. Perhaps if you had Cryptolith Rite you would have plenty of mana.

Duskwatch Recruiter Flip is more of a budget coco.

@honeybadger904That's what I would use Duskwatch Recruiter Flip and most of the time you'd rather not flip him just because he nets more threats for you. Definitely not saying he's bad by any means, I just feel that he hurts the synergy of the deck because he doesn't have the same synergy with the rest of the creatures that Sylvan Messenger has(and if you need more recruiting than that + Collected Company, you're probably losing that game anyways.) I think as far as decks utilizing recruiter, there should be more creatures that are bigger threats by themselves like Catacomb Sifter/Nantuko Husk. That's why he works so well in the Aristocrats style deck as well as something like Bant Coco where he gets things that have immediate value or become bigger threats later.
tldr: I think Duskwatch Recruiter Flip is suited for more grindy decks with creatures that have close to Shaman of the Pack level impact on the battlefield because he doesn't net immediate value like Sylvan Messenger does. And too much space for cards that recruit other cards is like running a blue deck with too many card draw spells.

So you basically, just push the damage through Everytime? I been running into super control decks with alot of single removal and board wipes. And everyone sides Orbs of Warding so if that goes out 90% of everything I got fails. I have Caustic Caterpillar to remove it.
June 6, 2016 7:18 p.m.
Yes, you just push damage through.
It's can be a problem, but if it's that prevalent run Naturlize over Natrual state and board in duress and transgress, you should hit it.
June 6, 2016 7:27 p.m.
Also, by that time you should have a good enough board presence that a shaman or CoCo could and it.
June 6, 2016 7:32 p.m.
I was at the MN GP and went 2-4 before I dropped. 3 of four losses were to decks running languish. I could have played differently but even boarding in discard hate want enough. Especially when they top deck it. Haha. My other loss was to white humans that was just a good match that I didn't get.
I feel like if you pay around languish they get a planes walker out and overwhelm you with value. If they don't they sweep you and you're done.
This deck is super fun and fast. I was disappointed with the results. Maybe more experience with the deck would help or maybe the cards just didn't flow the right way for me. I did love Gilt-Leaf Winnower.

I'm working on a green white black elves with Eldrazi Displacer and Eerie Interlude. Hopefully can get extra elf triggers and eerie can help dodge board wipes.
