I'm going to be trying mine at FNM tonight, the number one problem is going to be Languish. My plan is to draw one out on turn 4 and then rebuild and kill them on turn 6 or 7. I do have Warping Wail in the sideboard to hopefully pull some weight.

No matter what happens I'll be the only elf at the place, and breaking local meta and ruining people's records is alright with me :)

I run into alot of radiant flames, koziliks return. On top of languish. Decks. Tonight I'm going with enchantment elves. Featuring Cryptolith Rite and Evolutionary Leap. Also switching out Nissa for the 3 drop planeswalker not the flip. To accommodate sac creatures and +1 counters

I used to run Evolutionary Leap in my deck playing leap elves when Origins just came out but with all the board wipes and control I'm seeing I need to take out leap and run Warping Wail in the main board.

Fnm went very well. I had fun, my opponents even had fun, and one guy actually started digging through cards at the shop to build it that night :)

It was a smaller group because there was drafting going on, so there were only 3 rounds. I did lose the first match pretty handily by making a few bad decisions, but the second round went very much in my favor and I won two games.

The third round I won game 1 in 5 turns. Game 2 went a few more turns with bad draws on both sides, but I had a clear advantage. My last turn I drew a Shaman with 5 other creatures on the board and he was at 6. He plays a series of bullshit last attempts to draw a Zulaport Cutthroat to stay alive by playing Collected Company, missing but getting an Elvish Visionary to draw a card and a Matter ReShaper. The card he drew missed, but he sacrificed the first reshaper to Nantuko Husk and missed again, then sacrificed the second one he already had and hit. 9 cards revealed on the stack and he finally hit the one card he needed. He goes to 1 life and has enough blockers to stop me. Next turn he got his infinite combo with Eldrazi Displacer and the other guy that brings 3 tokens. We were about to shake hands before he said, hang on let me try something...

Game 3 I had horrible draws and he hit all of the control he needed to secure the win.

Overall it was a fun night, and I was definitely the only elf player of the night :)

For my local areas imma have to switch. Theres to much super control for my deck to push through damage. If I don't get turn 4 wins they board wipe and spot removal until they ha e enough mana to keep my board clear. I'll post a card list and results next Wednesday after I test it

Awesome deck! I did something similar here: An Elvish Frontier. Might I suggest you ditch some more basics for Blooming Marsh? I found that it is incredible for consistency without slowing you down.

When I say ditch more basics I'm referring specifically to removing more Swamps for Blooming Marsh.

I played something similar to this in the previous standard and enjoyed it very much. I didn't have any interest in frontier until the recent bannings. Now I'm thinking I might give it a shot.

You might want to see about adding one or two Lifecrafter's Bestiary (Kaladesh National Pokedex). I've added one elf deck today. (An Elvish Frontier) I'm still thinking it may be too slow for more than a one of. What do you think?

Skwarka says... #18

I think it's to slow for even a one of, sure it's okay late game, but if there is a late game you already have a serious problem.

Since the deck has moved to frontier, I'm looking for help with the sideboard.

Metallic mimic could be a great add to your deck allowing all elves to etb w +1/+1 counter

Uhm, what's the point of having Windswept Heath in here? all you can fetch are forests, you may as well just run forests...

They aren't there as mana fixers, they are there to help reduce the chance of drawing a land.

I'm not opposed to the mimic, but I'm not sure what I'd pull out for it.

What about Narnam Renegade and Ajani's Comrade there both pretty solid. I like elves I did really well in standard for while with them. There's also Rishkar, Peema Renegade
