You shouldMove heart of kiren intoMain board for ulamog

Also are you taking this to game day? I might be taking this list to game day because it's the only one that looks good

I want to take it to game day, but that involves getting the cards.

I'm hesitant to play Heart of Kiran after protour, because six decklists played it so people will be specifically preparing for it. Ulamog is something they wouldn't count on.

It's the only Esper control deck on my profile now and I plan on taking it to game day so your oppionion would mean the world Like should I just build a completely different deck or if it's good or what changes I can make

This esper deck seems very good. I would recommend three Tezzeret the Schemer and two more Fatal Push.

Respect for not running Gideon. I'm running a fairly similar list myself. I'm on the Jeskai colors though because I really want to play Nahiri.

Not in this deck. It's better for nuking if you have a lot of energy, but most of my energy is needed for Aether Hub mana.

Although, considering that I probably won't be using Lightning Strike for player damage, maybe I'll main-board Abrade and stick the Strike in sideboard against super-friends.

How will you deal with Carnage Tyrant? I am running Grixis control right now and that card looks like a nightmare for me.

I'm having a hard time seeing how you WOULDN'T want the cycling dual lands in here. They make Drowned Catacomb and Dragonskull Summit enter the battlefield untapped and the amount of cards you can dig through with them is surprising. That, and they're better than Evolving Wilds.

As for Carnage Tyrant, Doomfall seems like the go-to answer for it, much like how it is for Bristling Hydra. It's a one-for-one removal spell both before and after it's cast. That being said, I don't expect Carnage Tyrant to see a ton of play except after sideboarding, and even then as a two-of maybe. Star of Extinction, for as flavorful as it is, is also a clean answer for it the turn after it comes out. Could be some niche sideboard tech.

Sweltering Suns is better than Yahenni's Expertise here. How often will you really net sweet value out of that free spell, especially if you wipe the board? You really only have Opt and Supreme Will for that, and I don't know if dumping Supreme Will on turn-4 is really the best thing if you're already limiting yourself with the number of counters you're playing. Sweltering Suns to the main and cutting Expertise makes a lot more sense, as Suns costs 1 less and can be cycled in otherwise-dead matches.

Glimmer of Genius is really the best card in the deck, so you should prioritize making that a playset. I'd play 4 Glimmer before 4 Opt, tbh.

For your sideboard, cut Spell Pierce and Jace's Defeat for Negate. Pierce is dead after turn-4 in control match-ups, and not being able to hit Planeswalkers is a big deal. Pierce is much better in tempo/aggro decks for use against control. For you, I'd even say Negate is strictly better, especially given how many times you're going to play control mirrors and both players have 11 lands on the board. Lightning Strike should probably be Chandra's Defeat, which can kill Glorybringer, Chandra, and the most playable dinosaurs with a single mana.

I love this deck, what I also love is the possibility for a t5 bolas, so this deck has me up in La La land. Though I am not a control player I may try this out, May put in a Scarab god because Its what I usually do, even if it is not smart, plus I love using it more than GH so having a 2-1 split isn't too bad
