Inspiration

This is a new take on an Enchantress deck, using Iwamori of the Open Fist as the Commander. The inspiration to put this deck together came from seeing Samothrace's deck I said the REAL One Punch Man. pop up in deckcycle. Samothrace went with more of a group hug approach with some fight along the way. I thought this was a pretty cool approach, and I thought the Commander was quite original to use. Thanks, Samothrace for the inspiration here!

Introduction

I took a slightly different overall approach. I went with more of a mono-green Enchantress build, buffing up Iwamori with enchantments to win by Voltron. It's not too flashy, and there are better Commanders to be sure, but there aren't many Iwamori decks out there, so bringing a little-played Commander to the table appeals to me. I have lots of Legendary Creatures in my card collection, and be able to find a place for each one is fun to me. The deck has a fight subtheme, because this dude just wants to punch things. I realize that every now and then my opponents are going to drop in some very problematic Legendary creatures that Iwamori might not be able to deal with head-on, but I'm going to live with that.

Pre-Fight Preparation

Our ramp here is mostly enchantment based. Classics like Wild Growth, Overgrowth, and Fertile Ground are the heart of the ramp package. Drumhunter is an overcosted mana dork with card draw attached when Iwamori is out, and Herald of the Pantheon reduces the cost of enchantments. Sanctum Weaver becomes the Gaea's Cradle of this deck.

Iron Body Conditioning

Iwamori is going to need to toughen up in order to fend off all of his opponents. To that end, he needs to be harder to remove. The Umbras, like Snake Umbra and Spider Umbra offer some nice utility along with added protection. Cards like Withstand Death and Alpha Authority offer some instant-speed protection.

Let's Fight!!

The fight cards here are the main source of creature removal, although I've got a few other options for especially tricky opponents. Ulvenwald Tracker is like Iwamori's manager, telling him who to fight and when. I like the fight spells I can use at instant speed, like Duel for Dominance, Inscription of Abundance, and Khalni Ambush  . I do run some at sorcery speed, too, and Outmuscle is in here because it is my favorite art on a card. I mean, c'mon, Bear Suplex? That's just awesome. If I ever get to cast Outmuscle to fight Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma, then that's a flavor win! I'd count that as a game won!

If there is something we can't fight head on, due to indestructibility or something like that, Iwamori has a few secret moves up his sleeve, handed down from the great masters of his lineage. Lignify and Kenrith's Transformation will help with those pesky opponents.

Post-Fight Recovery

After spending some resources to win a fight, we need to refuel. Drawing cards to refill our hand is how we do that. This is where our Enchatresses help us out. Verduran Enchantress, Setessan Champion, and Eidolon of Blossoms are those who Iwamori is fighting for. Non-creatures that do the same for us are Enchantress's Presence and Season of Growth. Elemental Bond and Drumhunter reward us for having our fighter in play.

Finishing Moves

Fighting our opponent's creatures is fun, but we have to close out games by eliminating the players themselves. I know this is obvious. So is the path to do this. Make Iwamori big, and punch faces. Enchantments that really buff him up include Ancestral Mask, Blanchwood Armor, and Hydra's Growth. With Nylea's Colossus on the board, casting just a few enchantments prior to combat can make Iwamori really threatening. Add in a few evasive actions like Treetop Bracers, Canopy Cover, Indomitable Might, and Rogue's Passage and our opponents go down hard.

Conclusion

This is a pretty simple approach to a pretty simple deck idea. I hope someone finds some enjoyment in it's simplicity, and if you do, please upvote! Suggestions are always welcome!
