Thermo-Alchemist is my favorite card to run in limited. When Ghyrson was spoiled I had a dream. A dream that pinging for one was no longer gimmicky, or looped infinitely with walking ballista, but instead done to inflict further pain from your commander. While far from perfect, this is what that dream has produced. There are annoying cards in here that punish folks for playing the game, and punish them harder thanks to our commander, such as mana barbs and immolation shaman. There are ways to storm out 1 damage spells or goblins to sacrifice or attack with for more 1 damage fun. Combat damage is considered a source of yours dealing damage to our commander deals that two damage as well. You can equip the commander with curiosity or other fun toys to benefit even further. Ways to give your creatures haste, or able to activate abilities as such, provides you with a threat that can't be ignored. Prepare to politic often and watch your opponents groan as they play low cost commanders with 3 or less health.
