Everything nice, though you are misleading the rules - using Ensoul Artifact on Ornithopter does not make him 5/7 but 5/5 with flying. Using it on Scuttling Doom Engine would pretty much lower its stats by 1/1.

Awesome deck!

I'm running somewhat the same deck, check it out in my profile and tell me what you think. Playing competitively though, it lacks win conditions and late game threats. So I made some changes to help that.

Oh and darksteel forge and wurmcoil engine aren't standard legal.

This is pretty close to where I started my Ensoul Ascendancy deck. I've been tuning it since I too was driven to the Izzet Artifact side via M15. I've done a ton of testing and reconfiguring and I think I'm at a pretty consistent place with the deck now. If you have them, Temple of Epiphany is a pretty much straight upgrade to the cliffs, and I never found much use for the Chief Engineer but if you're having success with it I say go for it.

And you are correct, Yeasayer is amazing.

Springleaf Drum gets you to Juggernaut on turn 3. With your Scuttling Doom Engine so expensive, a bit more ramping would do wonders for the deck. Think turn 4 Doom Engine. With Generator Servant you have a win on the same turn you bring the engine out. Also, it is an extra target for Ensoul Artifact and Shrapnel Blast.

I'm pretty much in the exact same place. I got the Flames of the Dragon intro pack as a stocking stuffer, and I've been trying to make it a playable casual deck. This deck is pretty much exactly what I am working to, but better. Really helpful for me, +1'd.

By the way, I think it's hilarious you decided to promote a band in the description. I'll have to check them out. :D

Also, another thing. I've found that Polymorphist's Jest, other than being a good and hilarious card, works really well with Scuttling Doom Engine. It basically makes the Doom Engine unblockable and all of your other things able to kill opponents' creatures easily.
