Lots of updates lately —Dec. 19, 2015
The deck is going through a lot of changes since I'm trying to build this as a competitive combo deck, but the heart of the deck is staying the same: draw/filter/tutor into your combo pieces to go infinite!
Resetting the comments to get a fresh discussion going, so let's talk!

Hello FeralKitten. I got a lot of inspiration from your Daretti deck a long time ago, so now, perhaps, it's time that I returned the favor.
My list:
Here's some quick thoughts after reading through your list:
Think Twice isn't that great considering that the flashback doesn't increase the cmc of the card. So let's say that you cast it going from 1 experience counters to 2. The flashback won't up your counters to 3. I think a card like Compulsive Research would be better since it lets you go three cards deep. Discarding a land isn't an issue.
Darksteel Plate is good, but speaking for my meta at least, exile and bouncing are too prevalent for it to be good. That is a question you have to ask yourself. Is Darksteel Plate good for my meta?
I think that the counterspells with x in their costs really shine with Mizzix. The difference between leaving two blue mana open and leaving one blue mana open is significant, IMO. Condescend, Syncopate, Power Sink, Spell Burst, Clash of Wills, and Broken Ambitions are great because you get to cast more spells! Mizzix will handle the colorless requirements for you. You only need to spend 1 blue + (number of experience counters + 1) to get an experience counter.
Inexorable Tide: I consider my Mizzix deck to be very tempo-based. Inexorable Tide looks weak to me. I'm crazy, right? Well, consider all the instants and sorceries you could be casting with that 5 mana. I'd rather draw tons of cards to set up my combo than cast tide, wait a turn, and then draw a lot of cards. Also, I consider the "sweet spot" for my Mizzix deck to be 5 experience counters, but if your deck can make use out of a crazy high amount of counters be my guest. I'd rather make infinite red mana with reiterate than use the "free mana" off of the experience counters.
Epic Experiment: While I really like this card in 60 card casual, I think it is a build around me card in EDH that isn't worth it, much like Primal Surge. X spells and counterspells, non instants and sorceries, don't interact well with Epic Experiment, which is why I don't use it.
I would use Neurok Stealthsuit instead of Swiftfoot Boots because your opponent can respond to the equip activated ability with spot removal. With stealthsuit, you activate the equip, your opponent puts Path to Exile on the stack, but you can pay two blue and attach it to Mizzix in response to the path.
All Is Dust is too good not to run unless you play against Sigarda, Host of Herons, and Karn, Silver Golem regularly.
Keep tuning!

I'm surprised you don't have Grapeshot or Brain Freeze if you have storm cards, or Cunning Wish/Burning Wish.

@SolarFlare13: Young Pyromancer is pretty good. I'll think about that one.
@pikachu21: I'm not running Grapeshot or Brain Freeze because they're mostly dead draws unless I'm going off infinitely Reiterateing, but at that point I prefer to just X spell or copy a burn spell for the win. Maybe I'm wrong here, as I've never played a storm deck. My group doesn't currently play with the wishes, but they're something to consider.
@magicevan11: I have to run now, but I'll reply to you soon!

Hey there magicevan11! I agree Think Twice isn't optimal, so it may get swapped soon. Darksteel Plate is good in my meta since there are a lot of wrath effects and it gives me a repeatable chump blocker. So far (4 games), Inexorable Tide has been pretty great, but I could see it being cut for another mana spell like Pyretic Ritual. Epic Experiment is definitely spotty, but man it's so much fun to just hit a bunch of spells and rack up a few experience counters along with it. I like the idea of Neurok Stealthsuit, so I'll see if I can dig one up. All Is Dust will be in, just need to get one for this deck.
Regarding the X counterspells, I'm generally not a fan of conditional counters, though I've been thinking of running a few like Mindswipe (for the damage) or Spell Burst (reusable). In theory X counterspells would be good, have you played with them? I would think for me to get value I would need to load up on more, but I'm not sure I would want to cut that much more from this list.
Thanks for the suggestions, and I'm sure I'll be making constant changes, just like I did (and still am doing) with Daretti :)

I plan on building a Mizzix deck shortly. Inspired by your Daretti deck's name, I'm gonna call mine "Mizzle's Spizzles". I'm sure you'll think of a cool name though.

I thought about Ral Zarek but he just doesn't do enough for this deck. Thanks for the suggestion though Atony1400.

Yea, he doesn't have much synergy in my deck either, but extra turns and untapping is always nice! Also, Jace, Architect of Thought and Chandra, the Firebrand could go here. Plus, there may be an infanate spell copy could be possible between Chandra, the Firebrand + Melek, Izzet Paragon .

Have you thought about adding in Fuel for the Cause, Steady Progress, or Volt Charge?

Do I care if you like spells? No. Why? Because...
I like trains.

Hey Ender666666, I'm thinking about Fuel for the Cause since it's essentially Counterspell with a perk and I want to add a few more counterspells to the deck. The other two seem ok but a little on the weak side. I'm at the point where the deck feels good to me and it's getting hard to make cuts. I will say I'd like to get a more consistent turn 3 Mizzix of the Izmagnus so I'll probably add some 2-cost mana rocks and try out some 2-cost cost-reducers like the medallion cycle.

If you want more counter spells you should add Power Sink. It is amazing with Mizzix.
Have you had a chance to try out Sphinx-Bone Wand yet? It looks like a good idea, but I can't get it to work...
Cheers

Hey MrHighscore, I haven't had a chance yet. I'm hoping that's going to be in today's mail. With the games I've played and goldfished, it can easily kill the table. The key is to chain a bunch of spells (duh), but things that help with that are High Tide, Turnabout, Time Spiral, Epic Experiment and of course the infinite Reiterate combos. Basically things that enable the casting of spells (mana and cards). I'll definitely consider Power Sink since I think I have an old-school Revised edition hanging around.
