What about Draconic Roar?seems perfect in this deck

Probably fine for SB, not so much for mainboard with all the Rhinos control decks running around. Would depend on how what decks I around my area after DTK if I would sb this or not.

you might want Roast mainboard, there are too many rhinos these days.

More then likely, I'll see how my area is after DTK drops, if needed I'll swap Wild Slash and Roast spots.

I'm thinking about splashing black b/c I have the u/b and r/b fetches. Mostly for Murderous Cut and possibly Hero's Downfall. Would you run Dragonlord Kolaghan? +1 I like the deck.
Does it feel like it needs card draw? Maybe Dig Through Time?
March 17, 2015 3:17 a.m.
Could try Dig would require testing numbers to figure out if it would be good here.
I was brewing an idea of how to take this and turn into a grixis dragon control for access to Crux of Fate and Hero's Downfall specifically. As for Kolaghan I would try out 1-2 of here if I was going for a grixis variant. I'll take a crack at a grixis variant, and put it up.

Hey there, I love this deck, I'm actually thinking of running this at my local shop. What are your thoughts on running Draconic Roar instead of Lightning Strike? It would still allow you to target early threats but with all your dragons you stand a fairly good shot of doing a little damage to the player as well.
March 31, 2015 10:32 p.m.
Draconic Roar over Lightning Strike would depend on how your local meta is. If there are alot of creature-based decks that you can hit with Roar often then go ahead, but if there are alot of Creature-less or creatures you cannot hit with Draconic Roar such as UB control; which normally has a low creature count and the ones it runs can't be hit dealt with Draconic Roar. It can go both ways, but I run Lightning Strike as its the safer of the two to run as it won't have a chance to outright dead card in hand against specific decks. If you want you can have Draconic Roar in SB over something esle in the board, as the SB can be changed based on what is at your locals. or feel like what will be at your locals.

I have found with my testing that i needed both dig and antis in order to get to a safe board state. Also i stopped running Wild Slash for 1 Arc Lightning and 2 Draconic Roar along side the playset of Lightning Strike because turn two and three board interation is key

Only have 2 wild slash in the deck so not sure where the 3rd one is coming from; will try 2 arc lightnings in place of wild slash

Also Haven of the Spirit Dragon over the sarkhan spells its better value and its gonna make the deck more competitive

I think you may need one more land. I played it a couple times, and it chronically got stuck. Also, Mindswipe is golden in here. The new 5-drop blue dragon should replace the Aven, too.
