@ ZServ you make a good point; however, I like having Goblin Electromancer because he allows me to cast Spell Rupture with the leftover land to counter any removal spells. More of a security blanket I suppose. Guttersnipe is more useful in long haul. I will consider fitting him in. Good call.

i suggest Melek, Izzet Paragon it should help you a lot with boosting nivix, instead of plus 3/0 if from top of the deck he gets plus 6/0 making him a 7/4!!!

Also with Hypersonic Dragon you could boost nivix with sorceries too in a pinch

@ Ezbior, I like Melek, Izzet Paragon a lot for his interaction with Nivix Cyclops , but not for this deck. I can routinely win by turn 6 or 7 which is the earliest that Melek could come out. And he'd be taking up a spot where any other card in my deck would help me win faster. But I am thinking about making a mid-range Izzet and will definitely utilize that combo. With Hypersonic Dragon too. Thanks for the suggestions, I hadn't really noticed Melek before. Good call :-)

you may need more defense in case the cyclops takes its time to show up to the party, perhaps Electrickery . Also, why aren't you playing Rogue's Passage ?
I've tried Augur of Bolas in a deck like too.

@ mr_ponder. I have Electrickery in my SB to bring in against aggro. Rogue's Passage costs more than Artful Dodge or Teleportal and doesn't trigger as an instant or sorcery. Augur of Bolas is a good card, but he can whiff pretty bad and put my win-cons in the graveyard. I'd rather pull a Goblin Electromancer in my draw or topdeck. If it's getting to the point where I am running out of cards in hand, then I've already lost. However, I may SB AoB to flip the pace in game two.

the Rogue's Passage gives you another win-con, getting chumped is your worst nightmare i would think, since so many cards are used to do the pumping. If you ever have a chance to win, but are blockable - that's bad. Perhaps just 2 of them.
I haven't tried this in my deck, but you should consider 1 or 2 Dual Casting to place on Blistercoil Weird (are you aware of this combo?). No good against aggro decks, but a nice SB card.

I rarely go without grabbing a source of unblockability before turn four. There are seven sources in the deck and I only need one. Hidden Strings can also be used to tap a couple blockers in a pinch. I like the Dual Casting - Blistercoil Weird combo though. I'll see if I can fit it in anywhere.
ZServ says... #1
If you have 4 mana on turn four I must say I don't see the point in goblin electromancer. I would suggest Guttersnipe over him as an alternative win condition. Also, you can flashback Artful Dodge on the same creature, it just won't become any more unblockable. Just a heads up in case you didn't know.
