This deck is a guild deck and my guild decks have the follwing rules:-A guildeader must be present-Cards from other guilds are prohibited-Only the guildcolors are used, no splashing-The format is standard-The idea of the guild and its mechanic should be utalized

not really much of a rule but more a practical problem is that I will only use the shocklands and other comparable lands I own, for I am building decks of all 10 guilds it will be financially a problem to have 40 shocklands.

The idea behind this izzet deck is to use a few creatures and support them with a lot of (overload) spells to keep some control over the battlefield and to have combat tricks. As izzet uses many combat tricks and cheap spells I try to utalise carddraw by Stealer of Secrets. in the later game Mercurial Chemister and Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius should help too

I have the feeling that this deck just doesnt work like it should. I do not really know why but I cant seem to get stuff rolling. I do not mind using some spells from other standard series, but then again the overload mechanism is the main theme of izzet, and thus this deck.
