Main focus is with the Gelectrodes and Kiln Fiend in combination with the burn and counterspells.

Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind is good on his own, plus is an actual creature who can attack or block without needing to rely on anything else. He can also combo off with Ophidian Eye.

Controled Pyrohemia to continuously burn them (making sure not to kill all the creatures), or use as a main deck board wipe.

Quicksilver Dagger on Gelectrode can turn his normal ability into one that can potentially just fuel itself. Also gives Kiln Fiend something to do when I run out of things to cast.

Forecasting Writ of Passage onto a Kiln Fiend so it's unblockable, swing and burn them (pumping up the unblockable Kiln Fiend is also another trick.

Due to the slim selection of common board wipes, I had to settle with siding the combo of Rain of Embers and Inflame.

Echoing Truth also deals nicely with tokens(for those people who decided to run an Empty the Warrens deck) / enchantments (such as Oblivion Ring and Leyline of Sanctity).

Feldon's Cane (it is a common rarity in the Chronicles set) is for against mill or for just games that will take longer, and I end up needed to replenish my diminishing deck.
