Yeah, I believe I'm going to look for another one. I wish he had haste, but I don't think it's worth switching out a cantrip to give him haste, because I would rather drop him on 3 and double swing with buffed prowess guys on 4.

Hanweir Battlements for haste on him or Reveler for just one manas. Perhaps try two in your land base? Could even sideboard Hanweir Garrison to get wide :)

Sweltering Suns instead of Radiant Flames in the sideboard maybe?

I think both of us need two copies of Glorious End. Just reread the card and realized how amazing it would be, particularly when racing for damage.

"Can you kill me next turn?"

"Maybe."

"Ok, go."

"Let's see what I dra..."

"You're turn is over. Now it's my turn again, annnnnd... go to combat?"

"You're a monster."

How does that work in a mirror? I end your turn to take another turn to kill you, but then you end my turn with the same card?

It moves the turn to the end of the turn. So if I cast it on your turn to go back to my turn, then you cast it to end my turn... I lose. It does not get around Fevered Visions though... so if I cast it on your turn, you still draw and take damage lol.

jakefails, Sweltering Suns could be interesting in the sideboard. Everything on my board would survive except Soul-Scar Mage, and it would just take one other cantrip to save him. I'll do some testing and see how it goes. Thanks!

Why 4 Soul-Scar Mage with no burn spells? Is he really that good even not using his second ability?

A one cost prowess is a big deal for this deck. I also have the Radiant Flames in the side, so that would end up being two counters on all opponents' creatures.

I love this decklist, have you considered Enigma Drake?, or Cryptic Serpent?

The Drake might not be bad. It technically gets a prowess buff when you cast spells except it doesn't go away (unless your graveyard gets blown away somehow). Not a bad 3 drop with 4 toughness as a meat shield in the beginning and a heavier hitter a few turns later. I don't know that it needs any more creatures or to change any that are there, but it might be nice to bring in from the sideboard for games that simply require more bodies.

I tested out 2x Enigma Drake in the place of the Bedlam Reveler, and was happy with their performance. I'm not sure which I'll mainboard, as it seems the reveler is better in long games and the drake is better in faster games. I'll continue testing. Thanks Falcon_Galeo :)

How do you feel about adding Turn Aside to the deck?

June 18, 2017 8:32 p.m.

Harbynger says... #16

I tried Turn Aside in here for a bit, and ran into issues with people using things to target me or hit the entire board, and it ended up being a dead card in my hand a lot of times.
