This is a deck that is designed to play a controlling game early, using its burn spells to remove opponents creatures while resolving Brain in a Jar and Curious Homunculus   . It will then function as a counter-burn deck, using its permission suite and burn spells to control its opponent and drawing cards with Cathartic Reunion, Take Inventory, and Pore Over the Pages . Once it has control of the game, it will turn the corner with Voracious Reader   , Rise from the Tides or Bedlam Reveler and use its burn and countermagic disrupt its opponent while it closes out the game.One of the biggest problems that the deck has is its inability to deal with planeswalkers and slow decks (unfortunately, these go hand in hand). I have Dynavolt Tower in the sideboard, but does anyone have any other suggestions?
