This deck focuses on forcing other players to draw and discard for effects.
Lore broker, looter Il-Kor, Curiosity, Jace's archivist and whispering madness let me dig for cards.Dreamscape and terrain generator let me drop more lands (I've been avoiding dual color lands because they don't work with dreamscape). Lore broker, Jace's archivist and whispering madness force other players to both draw and discard. Sangromancer, Fate Unraveler, Megrim, and Archfiend of Ifnir all trigger when people are drawing & discarding. Curiosity and Sigil trigger off of damage, which makes them good with the unblockable looter and devastating with Unraveler. Sigil and Voldaren Pariah remove creatures. Voldaren also works well with Chasm Skulker. Skulker is a blocker and my board wipe insurance, with a slight chance of offensive use. Animate dead is an attempt to net a good blocker or distraction from someone else's graveyard or to replace a destroyed card to complete a combo. Elixer and the academy are situation fixes to prevent milling out. I have a friend who also uses Jace's Archivist and it turns uncontrolled milling into controlled deck digging.
I've built it in real life and it works. I just need it to be a little more consistent. I also want it to be more capable of handling threats without losing speed or focus. The main limiting factor is that card additions need to be in a sensible price range.
Some ideas I'm considering: Remove my hand size limit and adding threat removal. Larger creatures or more tokens as blockers.
Using Notion Thief or Plagiarize - It's great to draw while making one or more people discard their hands, but it cuts out Fate Unraveler which is an incredible win combo and it burns through my deck like crazy. That can be a problem in multiplayer games.
I'm also not sure if I should decrease the card count to around 60 or if I should keep it where it is to prevent self milling. If Laboratory Maniac or Teferi's puzzle box drop to about $2 then I'll probably add some and decrease to about 60 cards.
