Handsome Jack is the hero of the story and I'll accept nothing to the contrary. The Sirens are the villains 100% of the time (except Maya, she's cool). Handsome Jack is trying to rid the galaxy of literally evil murder hobos who only have a mind for loot and money. I'm usually open to other opinions, but if you don't think Handsome Jack is a hero, no, the hero, you are wrong.

Mathas puts bounties out on fiends, and rewards the people who kill them. Seems pretty apt if you ask me.
