Ahhhhh... Jalira. One of the most fun legends blue has to offer. It caught my eye when I saw M15 spoiled and ever since tried to build a deck around what is one of the most inventive blue spells ever to me: Polymorph.

Back in the days before I started playing EDH, this spell was fundamental to one of my favorite decks. My EDH portfolio was missing something as fun until Jalira came along.

What now that we have Jalira? Well, now I put some effort to make another deck equally fun and different enough from what every other blue deck has to offer: pure beat-down with huge creatures.

Right now the deck is still untested and whenever I think of something good I tweak it a bit further. Thus the frequent updates to the deck.

I'm still searching for ideas to make it faster, smoother, funnier. Crazy combos are welcome as is the discussion of what to include and what to remove.

I'm trying to avoid playing too much control. That's why the count on counterspells is somewhat low. I'm also more into stealing my opponents creatures to polymorph them instead of outright get rid of them (be it through destroy, put on top/bottom of library or put back into hand spells/effects).

This is a budget deck. Even though I do consider Vedalken Shackles an almost mandatory card for this deck, I prefer to go with the much cheaper Helm of Possession instead. But please, don't refrain from suggesting whatever you think would do good in this deck. It keeps the discussion alive and the ideas flowing.

I'm also looking for +1, of course. :) And feel free to promote your own Jalira deck.

PS - Maybe Board is stuff that I'm considering. Although some cards tend to be subpar, others could be very exciting. I'm just unsure when it comes to removing what's already in the deck.

On the other hand, my Side Board is based on Eldrazi to be cast through Spawnsire of Ulamog. Not sure how often I'll be able to do it but when I do it'll be a blast.
