Lately, I had the idea to build a deck using Jaya Ballard and most of the playable cards that list her in their flavor texts. I originally had planned for Jaya herself to be one of the 99, but I eventually decided to just go for her as the general, because why not?

This deck is still in the works. I've got TONS of cards up for consideration, and I'm missing some obvious choices like Caged Sun. I'm also incorporating a bit of an artifact sub-theme. I started out with Spine of Ish Sah and Mycosynth Wellspring as target so pitch to Artillerize and later Shrapnel Blast, and I subsequently threw in an Ichor Wellspring because I forgot it existed. Just recently, I learned of Goblin Welder and went nuts at the synergy it had with the Wellsprings and Spine, especially since I can pitch the Spine consistently to Jaya Ballard. I have still not worked out where all of this will fit in.

Also, I included Mystic Compass because I read on the Gatherer comments that it could shut down a Maze of Ith or some other utility land for the turn. I'm not sure if that's how it works, though the target is legitimate thanks to the oracle text, but it would be very nice if it did. Nonetheless, the flavor text is hilarious.
