You may think that mono-red is only meant to be aggro, especially in modern. Skred Red seeks to prove otherwise. Skred Red is essentially a mono-red disruptive control deck, that can use Blood Moon to keep most decks on the back foot, when it doesn't completely destroy their plans. Some of the other card choices that may appear strange are outlined. If you are familiar with the Skred archetype, you can skip this part and go on to my personal choices.

DISCLAIMER: Skred is a very meta-dependent deck. I wouldn't suggest just copying this deck card for card, but simply using it as a starting point.

This may look like a janky removal spell, but it is the glue that keeps this deck together. With our range of snow-covered lands and Coldsteel Hearts it can kill pretty much any creature in modern. It may not be able to hit players, but that brings us to our next part.
Now you may be thinking, "Well what makes this different than any other control deck? It just seems worse." Skred Red is unique in the way that it can take advantage of the inherent disruption of Blood Moon to take out opponents quickly. One of the win-conditions of the deck is card:Skred + Boros Reckoner. If you target your Boros Reckoner with Skred you can burn your opponent out for an amount of damage equal to the number of snow permanents you have, which can be up to 10 damage. In addition, Boros Reckoner matches up surprisingly well against many creatures in modern.

Now that you have been inducted into the Skred Club, or are already a member, it's time to dive deeper into the specific card choices for my deck. This isn't a typical Skred deck. Rather, it heavily splashes white for a synergy similar to the card:Boros Reckoner + Skred mentioned above, except with card:Swans of Brynn Argoll. This creature turns Skred into the best card draw spell in Magic, while also being a flying body with reasonable power. It also works well with damage-based sweepers like Anger of the Gods or if you want to be greedy, Blasphemous Act. I have also included Sunforger as a way to tutor up removal and sweepers alike.
