Jeskai Ascendancy has been a card I've been trying to work with, with great success on and off for awhile. I did Jeskai Fireworks Combo for awhile, with Ascendancy, and Retraction Helix, which was great fun and did well. But, I didn't like just comboing out, and I didn't want to be keeping hands simply because it had the combo in it. So, I worked with Ascendancy by itself.
First I tried a Prowess deck. Though Jeskai Student is a good 2 drop against decks packing Magma Jet, Windscout and Bloodfire Expert, just don't cut it.
Then I tried a pure token deck, and found it overwhelmed easily by Drown in Sorrow and Bile Blight, so, I worked a bit on it, and kept trying, and eventually, I seemed to have found something that works for me.
The deck is straight up aggro beats, it's Jeskai Fireworks with flare, and it's been blowing away people for two weeks before I switched to Abzan Whip.
This has been my powerhouse and probably something I'll be adding to as long as it's in Standard.
It's simple, you have creatures, you have ascnedancy, you have burn, you have bigger creatures, and bigger damage, and burn away the blockers and or hit them right in the face, while destroying their attackers with a surprise attack.
Nothing better than Stoking someone right to the face after an attack, blocking their creatures, and stoking them again while your creatures get even more pumped
