My new favorite modern deck. It's a lot of fun. Bad matchups are any artifact deck and amulet titan. Best ones are pretty much everything else. Easily beats 4c creativity on the draw. I initially saw it on the modernmtg reddit, and began building it. Since, aspiringspike and boshnroll both played various versions of the this deck, both with some levels of success. They both ran into the issue of losing to hammer and affinity, which may be the Achille's heel of the deck. The changes I plan on making is cutting the blackstaffs, since they always feel bad and awkward, probably going to put removal in its place; trying a different cantrip than EI, since those warp your turns around it and thus makes you lose tempo, probably going to try curate or impulse or opt; going to cut one sphere for another recall, unless I'm playing in a tron heavy meta. Considering of trying 3feri and amulet of vigor, as playtesting with those was a lot of fun and made the affinity matchup bearable. A way to give creatures vigilance also would be nice. Damn can be replaced with Wrath of God or Supreme Verdict, which ever you want; Damn is just cheaper and easier to find.

The primers written for it are kind of terrible, so here's my attempt at it: The goal of the deck is to animate some kind of indestructible artifact, play ponza spells, and swing for lethal. Galvanic Blast and Bolt will help you along the way. Sequencing is very important here; if going tall is better (ex. against GDS), animating with Rise and Shine THEN Ensoul is better. Overloading Rise and Shine is a great way to close out games. Iteration warps your turns around it, and you'll likely be inclined to play it first when you're running out of gas in hand, so make sure you exile a 0 drop artifact or a land. Boom is also a great turn 2 play, especially when your opponent has a greedy mana-base. Wildfire is good to ramp + cantrip. Running one bauble adds flexibility for draws and information. You can block with an animated land, then tap it for mana to cast blast/ bolt, thus allowing you to kill the attacking creature. Board in Defabricate when playing tron, control, or creativity, as it has a lot of utility against these decks. 4 Boom/ Bust must be boarded out against affinity, as it does nothing against them. Against hammer, ponza spells do work, but once they have an untapped land + springleaf drum + ornithopter, you are effectively screwed. If playing a blood moon deck, your animated lands do remain, but only tap for red. Make sure to board in proper responses for them, and fetch for a basic plains before foundry.

EDIT 1: switched out staffs for marches, cut 1 sphere for recall
