Deflecting Palm is great, I'm a huge fan. It can come out of nowhere and ruin someone's day. I think Crackling Doom is certainly worth splashing for. May also give you access to Kolaghan's Command as well.

What do you think of 1 or 2 Brutal Expulsion in this deck? Against Hangarback Walker, tokens and against Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip in the mirror matches.

Its a card Ill be keeping an eye on as others play it and experiment but its not a card Im willing to experiment with myself quite yet. I cant tell if it will be worth it or not to play

It removes two threats at once. Its either Unsummon and Shock or Remand and Shock. Obviously u wouldnt draw a card and u cant burn their face but it's 3 abilities on 1 card and u get 2 of them. Its almost like having an Izzet Command.

+1 for sure, I love the build. I can't quite afford all the top tier cards so I am building a Jeskai Aggro attempting to exploit Zada, Hedron Grinder. If you don't mind me saying, the mana base seems a little slow to me. I would suggest trading out the Shivan Reef and maybe even a couple Mystic Monastery for a couple more basic Mountain and Plains. This should allow you play Prairie Stream untapped more often by fetching for the basics you need first. I agree that Brutal Expulsion is a great card but I just don't feel it synergizes as well with Jeskai. I think I would rather play one or two Narset Transcendent or perhaps the enticing Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper for more lasting advantage from all the spell slinging Jeskai has to offer.

Just to help out, you misspelled Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip in the description (Jace, Vyrn's Prodigy is what you wrote)

Thanks kameenook! fixed it
Leviathan102 My problem with Thunderclap Wyvern is that it is not a dragon, so he is not protected by Thunderbreak Regent nor synergize with Draconic Roar.
jkr97e I like both Zada, Hedron Grinder and Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper, especially in a token Jeskai Ascendancy build.

Not being a dragon isnt a significant reason not to run a good card. Sure it would be nice if it was but u have many creatures that arent dragons. The only time thats relavent is if u take a dragon out of the deck for it. U dont want to limit ur potential over its creature type when this deck alrdy runs 8 dragons thats plenty. I hope u see the value of thunderclap although he's not a necessity.

Fair enough, what would you guys suggest I take out for them?

I suggest cutting stroke and running Silumgar's Scorn as its a straight Counterspell if u have a dragon and even if u dont yet, u can still counter aggro early. I would sb Tragic Arrogance and Roast for 2 more Radiant Flames. U will need them against r/g landfall abzan aggro, allies, jeskai prowess burn. As far as thunderclap, u don't need it but seeing how Dragonmaster Outcast isnt a dragon and doesnt make 1 until u have 6 lands, by the time its online u should be winning or have already won with thunderclap and ur other flyers b.c thats at least turn 7 and most likely it will be about turn 9. Midrange is meant to win about turns 6-10. The games that last longer will be against control and they will remove it easily.

It is a sweet configuration, but I really don't like the manabase. What I think will help would be cutting some of the Mystic Monastery and pains lands to add 1x Cinder Glade and some Windswept Heath. This will let the Windswept Heath able to fetch for all three of your colors. It grabs the Prairie Stream U/W and Cinder Glade for R. Just a suggestion so the deck does not have so many clunky starts with all the tapped lands.

bigjarome that is a great suggestion! I was looking for an excuse to run less pain land and more fetches to speed up Dig Through Time and Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip anyway. Thank you. Ill be sure to update that soon.

Solid deck. Literally the only thing I would change for myself is moving the disdainful strokes to the sideboard, but that's only because my meta is so heavy with aggro. I would probably put in 2 x Wild Slash for the Disdainful Strokes I took out.
Mantis Rider is legit right now and I'm glad you see that.

Thanks Soul_Power!
I agree that if your meta is all aggro that would be an appropriate change. My meta is all control and mid range so Wild Slash has tested bad for me in the past sometimes just going upstairs for 2 because it's dead in my hand.
Surge of Righteousness has taken the Wild Slash slot in the side because I can put it in for aggro if it shows up but also for other matches.

I dont like the haven of the spirit dragon you have too many other mana instense non dragon spells that get stuck by the grey mana. Other wise looks great

raptor77 that's fair, and the card has put me off curve once or twice but for everytime it has stuck me I've had two instances where it gets me back a threat to redeploy. I like it and have had good success with it so far. Thanks for the looking out!

So curious how you're bringing Jace back from the graveyard after flipping him when the card goes into exile once you flip.. I like the deck set up. Have you thought of running a hybrid token sideboard variant for changing things up?

Nice concept. I am working on a similar build, minus the Jace's (too much money), and adding Deflecting Palm and looking at splashing black for Crackling Doom.
