Is Jeskai a little OP?Lets think about it. Whenever you play a non-creature, creatures you control untap, gain lifelink, get +2+2, you double tap a creature, and you loot. So freaking OP!!! Then you get haste prowess, or doublestrike prowess, or lifeline prowess, or loot prowess and you realize that Wizards made a mistake. Now in modern everyone runs Jeskai. Legacy runs Jeskai Stoneblade. Freaking commander will run Jeskai. Then they go out printing Jeskai's khan out in a duel deck, and now everyone seems to have a Narset or two. Not OP at all......

So here are some of the basics of this deck.

  1. Always have a creature for two or less in your starting hand.

  2. Always have three lands in your hand.

  3. Sequence your cards correctly. Creatures before spells, Etc.

  4. Try and keep cards in your hand. It will make master the way more powerful and freak your opponent out because they think you have a deflecting palm or Mindswipe or Flying Crane Technique, or any prowess trigger really. Most of this deck is instants so it should seem like you always have instants.

  5. Looting is not an absolutely necessary thing. It says you MAY draw a card and if so discard a card. If you like all of your hand just fine do not loot. BTW Looting is like the second abilities of Jesksi Ascendency or Jeskai Elder.

  6. I would usually burn your opponent rather than their creatures. In the end, it all comes down to who dealt the most damage the fastest. If you have a dragon style twins out then you might want to magma jet their only blocker instead. Really just do whatever will do the most damage to them.
