As you can guess the main reason for this deck is for Gideon of the Trials, I personally think the idea as running him only as a sideboard for Ad Nauseam is just under valuing him. With a 0 You get an emblem with As long as you control a Gideon planeswalker, you cant lose the game and your opponents cant win the game. Build that around a deck to limit options and your going to give your opponents nightmares.

Walkers

Gideon of the Trials Makes it so you cant lose, can make a permanents do no damage and the ability to get 4/4 creature allows him to put as much pressure as a Celestial Colonnade for once versus .

Gideon, Ally of Zendikar Also works with the Emblem. Also creates token bodies to help protect, and is harder to kill then Trails.

Control

Lightning Bolt - Just use it for trades, can be a kill if needed.

Path to Exile - Best creature answer.

Serum Visions - Lets you turn cards quickly and find options you need.

Mana Leak - Answers all of magics problems.

Electrolyze - Damage that can be split with a draw included, its a great card.

Spell Snare - Alot of modern cards get stopped by this.

Supreme Verdict Clear the field and cant be countered.

Negate Just basic counter play.

Creatures

Snapcaster Mage Best blue creature printed allows recast and is a staple piece.

Torrential Gearhulk Budget Snappy, more to play but you dont have to pay costs which can help I guess.
