Jeskai Planeswalker control

Standard Control RUW (Jeskai, America)

Progatus

Sideboard

Jeskai Control Deck for when Dragons of Tarkir releases. I'll talk about the components and the logic of the deck.

Removal:
Banishing Light- solid versatile removal for 3 mana.

Dissipate - counterspell that exiles the card. Really good against graveyard decks.

Dissolve- counterspell with a scry. Very solid in making sure the deck keeps getting fuel.

Lightning Strike - 3 damage for 2 mana. Good against small creatures and some planeswalkers.

Anger of the Gods- good against the swarm and aggro decks.

End Hostilities- deals with everything.

The Digging material

Anticipate- solid 2 mana, 3 card Impulse . Pretty useful.

Ojutai's Command- does a bunch of things including creature removal and card draw. 4 life isn't irrelevant either.

Dig Through Time- best spell for getting card advantage, because you can decide what to get.

The win cards:

Soulfire Grand Master- He's usually here at the start to play against aggro decks. Will usually get swapped out against a control match-up. Lifelink part is important especially on anger of the gods. His buyback ability is occasionally useful.

Dragonlord Ojutai- Has anticipate upon dealing combat damage.

Prognostic Sphinx - can give himself hexproof, and scrys when he attacks. 5 toughness makes him ignore stoke the flames.

Pearl Lake Ancient- the creature that control hates. really strong and immune to most things.

narset transcendant - Such a lovely card. Gives rebounds (funny when you rebound a dig) and occasional card draw. Plus her ult kills control and some midrange decks.

Elspeth, Sun's Champion- Versatile Planeswalker. Gives you a bunch of tokens and can boardwipe big things on short notice. Plus her ult makes your tokens harder to kill.

Sideboard:

Ugin, the Spirit Dragon- A sideboard choice against control decks and midrange decks, does a lot of really good things.

Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker - an alternative to Narset. Will usually go in against aggro or creature heavy decks.

Negate- Strong against the control decks and sometimes against the midrange decks.

Disdainful Stroke- Good against the big stuff.

Erase - Relevant enchantment removal that makes more sense than banishing light in some cases.

Keranos, God of Storms- Good for the longer games, and a possible win con alternative as well.

Nyx-Fleece Ram - The main choice for decks that have early aggression.

Any suggestions are welcome, though the things I am thinking most about are the combination of the 3 creatures I am currently running and whether Ojutai's command is a good choice. Do I get 2 ojutai or 2 prog. sphinxes? Again any suggestions are appreciated.

Had a pretty rough night finishing at 2-3. Part of it is due my lack of experience as a control, but there were also some pretty bad breaks.

Round 1: 1-2 RW aggro: The guy was being pretty picky about things. Killed me with 3 crater's claws in the first game when I was out of counterspells. 2nd game went much better as I was able to kill his creatures fast and had elspeth do a lot of damage. Game 3 not particularly noteworthy other than he outraced me.

Round 2: 1-2 Sultai Whip: Much better round overall. First game I completely dominated his board with boardwipes, pearl-lake ancient and elspeth. 2nd game was worse as he got back at me with his anti-control package, 3rd game was a bit of nail biter. Pearl-lake saved me a bit, but wasn't enough.

Round 3: 1-2 GW Manifest: This was probably the closet round I dealt with. The first game I won because I had enough counters and he drew too many lands. 2nd game was intensely close, but I was extremely hesitant because of the massive amounts of manifest creatures. 3rd game he outraced me in turns and I was stuck on 3 lands.

Round 4: Bye

Round 5: 2-0 Mardukai: Didn't have a very well put together deck, ran 4 colors. Felt bad about winning it and gave the kid some advice. Told me it wasn't his deck.

After talking to a control some changes are being made. Sarkhan will be gone entirely, with Pearl-Lake and Ugin swapping places. Dissipates go away for a negate and disdainful stroke. 1 anger to the sideboard. 2 roasts to the mainboard. Later on, if I get more Dragonlord Ojutai, I will main him over Prognostic Sphinx. Losing one Banishing Light as well from the mainboard.
