You should add a couple of Monastery Mentors to this.

@calvinwarning good suggestion, but I am trying to run as few creatures as possible so I can load up on as much burn as I can. I might substitute these for the swiftspears though.

I wouldn't initially cut swiftspears entirely over mentors since swiftspears are much faster and prove effective early game. I'd actually recommend dropping or moving some Hushwing Gryffs to your sideboard if you were going to fit in Monastery Mentor.

you really don't want gryffs main I think unless you find siege rhino to be THAT much of a problem, which you shouldn't cause you can probably burn them out and gain that life back from grand master/seeker. I think I might try a couple copies of Monastary Mentor in its place

Thank you Casstuus, while I do think Monastery Mentor would be a great edition, I think main boarding the Hushwing Gryffs is necessary because many top-tier decks of ETB abilities such as Abzan with Siege Rhino, Sultai/Sidisi/Golgari Whip with Sidisi, Brood Tyrant, Hornet Queen, Satyr Wayfinder etc., Constellation, and many others. However after FRF drops I will try it both ways because both you and Calvin make a great point.

I like this build but in place of banishing light I would play Monastery Siege this gets you around spot removal really well and when you land a second monastery siege per chance you can just use it for Card draw and fuel for delve. This makes monastery mentors and soul fire grandmaster better and lets you play three of each because soul fire is more likely to stick around as is mentor letting you get the full effect.

Just 2 of the banishing light to be switched out is my suggestion not all 3.

Also I suggest cruise over dig.

Hi there cold hearted sith, thank you so much for all the great feedback and suggestions, i think that monestary siege would be a great edition and I will look for a way to incorperate it into my deck. I am still going to run dig because it guarentees i get what i need from my draw unlike cruise which lets me draw 3 random. Thanks again for the great suggestions!
