Technically Speaking, Only Creatures Are Not NonCreatres

Yep, this is a fun deck. I recently remade a lot of it from a Superfriends deck I had, plus some cards I owned, and a very low budget to throw at it. So, it's not optimal, but it does work pretty good, and I enjoy being able to walk the line of what is, really, not a creature. Vehicles? Not a creature. Planeswalkers, nope they are not. Creature tokens that I get off triggers, well, originally they were noncreature spells, and then I capitalize on this with things like Saheeli, Sublime Artificer or Narset of the Ancient Way and even just Reckless Rage that I can use with little regard because my vehicles can turn off, or at worst I am hitting a token on my side. In low-no creature builds, rage is such a good deal.

Early Game

Removal is key here. While you are setting up walkers you want to address most threats on the board. Direct damage from Lava Dart and Light Up the Night are there to be used, and they will be more powerful when you play them from the graveyard in the late game. Lava Dart is especially good in the graveyard because it works very well with both Saheeli, Sublime Artificer and Moonveil Regent in the late game. Free spells are just good, turns out : ) Expel from Orazca can be a little more tricky to use, just because it's so good when you have ascend, which you should in the mid-late game. If need be Chandra, Acolyte of Flame can give you two tokens to hit ascend for the game. But seriously, expel is great when it hits. If your opponent taps out to play a big threat and you put it back on top of their deck, you basically Time Walk them.

Midgame

Time to take a nice stroll through the planes with your extremely versatile cast here. Casting more spells, drawing cards, fueling Heart of Kiran, gaining life, doing damage, recasting spells from the graveyard, it's a lot of options and they are all pretty just good. These aren't the most powerful planeswalkers ever, and they won't give you a win (except Narset's ult, which is easy to get to with Chandra) but they will keep the parts of your deck moving. Smart opponents will completely ignore your walkers and attack you directly, but sometimes it's too tempting, and that's when this deck starts to really pull ahead. Most of the planeswalkers here have big loyalty counts and will buy you a ton of time if your opponent targets them at all, and that's exactly what you want.

Lategame

By this point you should have played your hand out because Moonveil Regent is everything this deck wants in the late game. It's a discard outlet for Light Up the Night or Lava Dart, it's flying damage, it's draw, and it's damage if it dies. I didn't want to put any creatures in this deck at first, but the dragon was too good at what it does, and now I really like it here. This deck can also win with Heart of Kiran or one big Light Up the Night but in testing, Moonveil Regent is most often the one that gets there.

**Overachievers **

As I revamped this old deck and tried a bunch of things, some cards packed a lot more oomph than I thought they would.

Reckless Rage is so amazing for removal and more often than not, you don't have targets for that two recoil damage.

Expel from Orazca is kind of decent before ascend, and then nuts when you've gotten there. It often screws up two of your opponent's turns, which is just so good. It's extra great on creatures that get a second summoning sick turn, but I really like that it's not limited to them.

Narset of the Ancient Way was originally the basis of the deck, and she's still very good. Her ult comes in fast, and can be a killer if she doesn't get targeted, but her other abilities are great too. Gain two life and ramp is great for this deck that can turtle a bit in the early game, or draw, discard and damage is perfect for this deck too. She's amazing when she comes out.

Huatli, Warrior Poet is also great. She might be overcosted for what she does, but she also always does exactly what you want. Makes decent size tokens, gains life, removes small creatures, yep she's secretly very good, and extra good if you pump her off Chandra, Acolyte of Flame who is also great by herself. Giving tokens or loyalty are good, but replaying spells from the graveyard is the best thing you can do in this deck. Play a Serum Visions from they yard, trigger Moonveil Regent and you are having a good day.

Karn, Scion of Urza has a lot of loyalty and isn't a big target, which is very useful for late game Light Up the Night And in the mean time, he will be drawing you two cards over every two turns, and that's not bad at all. Plus, if you really need a token, he'll give you a token.

Saheeli, Sublime Artificer is a noncreature spell, plays well with non creature spells, creates artifacts, and then plays well with artifacts : ) She can clone Moonveil Regent off a servo, and that's always going to be good.

Ways To Power Up

So yep, this is a very budget deck, and there are ways to make it better if you wanted. I'm not sure if I do, honestly. It's playing good and I'm pretty happy where it's at. That being said, it can go more ham, for sure.

The mana base could be a lot fancier if you wanted. All the usual stuff, fetches, shocks, whatever the new thing is, it could all make the deck play smoother.

Sky Skiff is one of my all time favorite cards, but it's mostly a worse Smuggler's Copter I just kinda don't like copter. It fits the deck so well, but I won't do it. High-Speed Hoverbike also seems fun, and this deck always has a way to crew things, so vehicles are pretty neat to play around with, but I may stick with the skiff for now : ) Luxior, Giada's Gift also seems like a great addition for this spot, but I'd need to test it.

And maybe more draw in general. I like playing out my hand and then getting to draws with Moonveil Regent but it may be overall more efficient to have more Opt effects. I'm not 100% sure on this, but maybe.

Yep well, I think that's kinda it. It's just a fun one that I've been playing with, and try it out if you are looking for a budget build that does a lot of things and has a lot of character. I love the flavor idea of Chandra, Acolyte of Flame channeling energy into other walkers or for Saheeli, Sublime Artificer to be taking the power of spells and shaping some of it to make small machines.

Hope you all have a wonderful day, and great games!
