Double blue for scorn. Maybe horrible awry?

I am running the same style deck, but I am running Stubborn Denial in place of scorn. i find it is easier to have a creature power 4 or greater than it is to amass , and have a big, scary dragon.

I haven't gotten around to putting the sideboard in yet, I run four of stubborn in the side, I found that having it in the main could get awkward at times. It agree it can be annoying hitting the double blue, but I've never had a problem getting a dragon and prefer the protection of scorn in the late game.

The reason I run the four Sarkhan Unbroken with no Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker is I feel he is more synergetic with himself. Dragon speaker never really wants to die but Unbroken making two dragons and killing himself in the process leads very well into the follow up play of another Sarkhan. I guess the same could be said about playing Unbroken first. I'll give it a shot and see how it goes thanks.

Also I found myself using scorn as late game protection a lot more than for anything else and by that time double blue is not very difficult.

Jace, Vryn's Prodigy  Flip is pretty sweet but dare I say the deck could do well without him if you don't have the $$$. Perhaps another Valorous Stance and Stubborn Denial could be more budget friendly. I was lucky enough to open two of him at the pre release alongside five liliana's, from only three events(I went 10-2). Fair to say I had a good pre release.

this deck looks like alot of fun, how does the mana base work out with both high demands on tri-4 color and double colored threats on curve with lots of tap lands?

it seems like the balance is off a bit. (why i havnt been able to add Thunderbreak Regent/Mantis Rider and recently took out knuckels)

Hey IzuKorasu I have actually changed up the manabase but never got round to changing it up here I'll change it now. The mana is actually surprisingly solid I even tried a version where I ran three Gideon, Ally of Zendikar (which I have just changed it to now) and never found myself struggling. You might miss one drop every now and then. With the fetchable duals the mana in standard is the best it has ever been and finding any tri cost is actually extremely consistent. The best land in the deck is Windswept Heath coming in for all four colours of mana. With the fetches usually you have to decide which double you want to go for with either gideon or thunderbreak on four. But there are enough sources cards should never be stuck in your hand for long.

Admittedly its greedy but its still consistent enough and the power level is so worth it.

You might want to update your deck. It is not standard anymore
