If you're worried about board wipes try playing Boros Charm. It can make your creatures indestructible, get that last bit of damage in, or a 6/5 double strike creatures isn't too shabby either.

Check out my Knight of New Alara deck and let me know what you think of it as well!

Witness the power of the Maelstrom.

Pheardemons oh snap, how did I not think about Boros Charms! Thanks dude, you solved my problems and made my deck faster in one fell swoop :D

All good man. Thanks for taking a look at mine, and the upvote. If I think of anything else I'll let you know. Although I definitely advise Mantis Rider. 6/6 flying, vigilance, and haste for 3 mana.

I'm so out of my comfort zone with these colors, that I would've never thought of Mantis, thanks again :D

This is pure badassery! I love the theme, the blend, the penache! I'd be hard pressed not to put in Civic Saber and maybe Transguild Courier. Stay frosty!

I second The7thBobba in adding Transguild Courier. I wish I thought of that as well. For four mana you have an 8/8 on the battlefield. However, for one more mana you could play Fusion Elemental to get a 13/13. I guess it depends on your mana base.

Oh man, some valid suggestions just keep coming! I gotta get back to these, I'm off to a 6-man Amonkhet sealed with friends at his cabin :)

April 28, 2017 5:09 a.m.

Oh, I gotta second Pheardemons on the elemental! And hey, if you don't mind a few sillies, there's Scuttlemutt, Scrapbasket, and Witch-Maw Nephilim. Stay frosty!

April 28, 2017 5:15 a.m.

Dude! That sounds like a blast of a weekend! I genuinely hope, that you all draw well. That you all get that mythic you were hoping for, and that everyone brings their a-game!

Yea man have fun, hope you pull some invocations.

April 28, 2017 5:29 a.m.

Oh! And Chromanticore! Damn, I might have to build my own knock-off version of this!

April 28, 2017 6:10 a.m.

Demand could make for a good tutor?

I have a few cards I absolutely want to include, but I'm having trouble finding balance again to keep it as consistent. Gimme some help boys!

What are the cards you want to include?

April 30, 2017 3:58 a.m.

Naksu says... #16

Transguild Courier, Demand and Fusion Elemental. Problem is I am super reluctant to take out a single Alara and the 4/5 drop slot is getting crowded, bumbing the average cost so high that 2x Trace of Abundance is not enough to meet ramp demands. The list as it is now is the tightest I could come up with.

I think you could bring down the Abrupt Decays to 3, maybe even two. Also, I definitely like Chromanticore for this deck. I would probably take out Transguild Courier. You already have Fusion Elemental for your vanilla big guy, so maybe for one extra mana you get a huge monster that has a hell of a lot more value than Transguild Courier

If you're worried about staying "on curve", you do have Mantis Rider for the haste spot, so it is possible you don't need Jund Hackblade? If you want to add something more into the deck that's possibly one to take out.

I'm not a huge fan of Congregation at Dawn. How has that worked for you? If you're playing Demand, do you really need Congregation at Dawn?

Rhox War Monk is also something I'm not the biggest fan here. However, I understand needing lifelink. I play Behemoth Sledge to keep reequipping. I did that to try and play more trample stuff like Siege Rhino to be more aggro. Also, I would recommend Siege Rhino somewhere in the deck.

For something of value, I do really like Witch-Maw Nephilim as a potential end game beater, or Glint-Eye Nephilim to be able to draw cards.

Totally forgot to remove the Congregations and add the Chromanticores, thanks. As for the blades, the deck started as a challenge to build around all 5 blades and then I found Alara which blew my mind, so all blades must stay, you just gotta think about it as a handicap :D. If I get my hands on some Rhinos they'll definately go in. For now it's mostly stuff I got on paper already.

The decays being the sole removal has to remain a playset for multigames 2HG or emperor, for which the sideboard is really a reminderboard for. If I had some decent draw Witch-Maw Nephilim would be beast, but Transguild Courier is always strong here. I now want to build a deck around those nephilims though :o. Behemoth Sledge was a nice tip too! Thanks for breaking it down like that!

I don't think you need 24 lands. You're also playing ramp in the form of your Trace of Abundance. You could probably drop two or three lands to add in whatever you want to add in.

Also, while I totally agree that destruction spells are needed in some way, shape, or form, if this is a casual type of deck you probably don't need that many Abrupt Decays. Most casual decks don't play too many things that you need to worry about, and you could probably run Qasali Pridemage in the sideboard for it. Your creatures are also extremely powerful, not to mention Grixis Grimblade has deathtouch. In casual circles I'm not sure they can deal with your creatures. If you're looking to add more space, maybe look into that.

Our casual group is running the kind of decks that actually forces me to sport a removal that can target anything. Pretty aggro stompers that lean on a few specific cards to roll over you, more so in a game with several opponents. With the list like it is now I feel I can hold my front against some faster combos and just otk the first of them on turn 5-7 and keep cleaning them. I gotta admit I took alot of ideas to the lates revision from The7thBobba. I've been running playtests against my real decks and the 24 lands is pretty crucial for so much focus on 4 and 5 drops. I do get your point, but I'm pretty familiar with my buddys decks and I can focus on a few important feats on all my decks meant for casual. If I give it a diet I'll lose some lands for better value.

And I don't really use a sideboard, but it's just a list to keep track of what I use to switch things around every now and then to keep it fresh. And those Boros Charms are against a few dudes who like boardclears :)

All good man. Like I said, I am a firm believer in playing with what you want more over than anything else. Good luck with deck man.

What about using man lands? They are considered multicolored creatures so they would get the buff from Knight of New Alara.

That sounds pretty interesting! Gotta test them out, thanks.

In playtesting, I feel like this deck would be too slow with all the lands that come in tapped, getting mauled by decks that are faster, you could probably thrown in a playset of Mana Confluence to replace some of the lands that come in tapped
