Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain artifact storm. Was Jori En before Dominaria...

Win conditions

In addition to just cantripping your way through your deck and winning with storm cards like Grapeshot or Aetherflux Reservoir, it also has these win conditions:

Possible Adds

See here for full Maybeboard - https://scryfall.com/@TRK27/decks/391e243b-be55-41f8-9ba5-2a04d23e302e

  • Words of Wind is something I've seen discussed for Jhoira. You need any two mana-positive mana rocks and Jhoira out, and you get a one-sided board wipe and infinite storm count.

  • More cheap mana rocks, ie Grim Monolith and Mana Vault

  • Tezzeret

  • Saheeli Rai?

Update 1

Out- Pia's Revolution

In - Scrap Mastery

Update 2

Out - Reckless Fireweaver, Comet Storm

In - Storm the Vault, Walking Ballista

Update 3

Out - Ignite Memories, Hurkyl's Recall... can't remember the other cards?

In - Tezzeret the Seeker, Artificer's Assistant, Mox Amber, Kozilek

Update 4 (Modern Horizons)

Out - Vedalken Archmage, Izzet Boilerworks

In - Urza, Fiery Islet

Update 5 (Paradox Engine banning)

Paradox Engine, besides being bonkers by itself, had numerous combos with Isochron Scepter. Lightning Bolt on a stick won the game. Snap on a stick let you bounce all opponents' creatures and storm off if you had a cheap enough artifact creature. Remand on a stick with a 0 cost artifact would draw your deck. After PE was banned I added in Dramatic Reversal for Isochron Scepter, Tribute Mage as another way to find Scepter, and Mystic Forge as another combo piece for Sensei's Divining Top.

Out - Paradox Engine, Lightning Bolt, Snap

In - Mystic Forge, Tribute Mage, Dramatic Reversal

Update 6 (Zendikar Rising)

Trying out the playable MDFC lands. May be making more drastic changes soon

Out - Island, Mountain, Swiftwater Cliffs In - Riverglide Pathway, Shatterskull Smashing, Sea Gate Restoration

Update 7

Out - Ichor Wellspring In - Arcane Signet

Need to replace most of the other cantripping 2 drop artifacts with stax pieces or mana rocks

Update 8 (LGS bans proxies lol)

Out - Urza, Mox Opal, Sea Gate Restoration, Fiery Islet, Storm the Vault, Implement of Examination, Remand, Negate In - Reshape, Fierce Guardianship, Force of Will, Comet Storm, Jeweled Lotus, Training Center, Talisman of Creativity, Thought Vessel

Mox Opal, Urza, SG Restoration, and Fiery Islet were removed for being proxies. I put in Jeweled Lotus for the Mox though I fear it might be too feast or famine. Comet Storm went in for Urza just to keep the number of wincons consistent. Reshape in for SG Restoration, and Training Center in for Fiery Islet.

I also made a few other substitutions while I was at it. Storm the Vault was a bit too slow; it does very little the turn it comes down and I never want to draw it while trying to storm off. And Implement of Examination is just kinda dorky. I'd rather have a mana rocks in those slots so I put in Talisman of Creativity and Thought Vessel. The more I play this deck the more I realize just how critical two drop mana rocks are for its consistency - getting to play Jhoira one turn earlier is huge.

Remand performed OK, but it was never as useful as it had been when Paradox Engine was legal; hypothetically it could be used to counter your own O drop artifact and so increase storm count but that edge case never came up. Negate was also fine as standard combo protection. But I'd been lucky enough to get copies of Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship, so I'm going to try out these higher tier counterspells. I do worry that FoW may not consistently have blue cards to exile in this artifact deck, but we'll see
