A little more chaos —Aug. 2, 2013

I decided to add just a little bit more chaos to the deck with Possibility Storm, Fiery Gambit, and Goblin Game. I also swapped some of the creatures out for more Instants and Sorceries, I have a lot of creature centric decks, and just wanted to increase my spell count in other areas.

8bitJesus,

Jhoira is a great commander and this is a great deck (+1); however, I am afraid that as long as you are running some form of land destruction I can assure you that people are going to complain about your deck. That's why I am pulling them out of Ashling's Apocalypse and adding a couple of more player friendly artifacts.

I look forward to the opportunity to check out these changes in action. I imagine that you are probably going to be attacked mercilessly regardless of the changes. I look forward to you taking some of the heat off me! ;)

@MagicBlake

I got rid of virtually all land destruction in this deck in favor of different "wraths." I look forward to the changes too. I want this deck to be strong without it being hated. It is an interesting experiment in balancing the two. A part of me just wants to go all in on chaos as well, although I can't commit to that idea, I do have some chaotic cards.

8bitJesus,

I look forward to playing against this deck after the changes. I would imagine you will still draw a lot of hate at the table because Jhoira has terrorized us in the past, but I think some of that will fade over time now that you have made this deck more casual. If people still give you a hard time after these changes tell them to suck it up. My personal opinion is that a deck can be very competitive as long as you dont lock people out of the game or combo out before turn 10, that way everyone still gets a chance to play.
