After making my Intet and Teneb deck, I looked around my other rares to see which next EDH deck I want to build next. For some reason I really like the Planar Chaos rares and was going to originally make a third dragon EDH (
Numot, the Devastator
) to sate the Timmy in me but Jhoira popped out and piqued my interest. From there on, my next commander will be Jhoira because she looked too awesome not to use. This will be my 3rd EDH deck in the making. The way I built around this was similar to Intet but in a more despicable way. The mindset is "I am going to blow up everything and have my big dudes end you. GG."
General
Jhoira of the Ghitu
: The big bad sexy petite wizard. What is there not to love about her? She can suspend all of your creatures for a measly 2 mana, if that is not enough you can pretty much board wipe to your life's content and clear everything multiple times over before your opponents can do anything about it. Yeah she is a threat, trust me I know.
Planeswalkers
Tezzeret the Seeker
: Honestly if you are running a plethora of artifacts this should already be in your deck no questions asked.
Creatures
Artisan of Kozilek
: Free creature recursion on the cast and annihilator 2? Yeah that's a problem.
Blightsteel Colossus
: Man this thing is too OP, they should raise the poison counters to 15 or 20 in EDH. This guy is unfair!
Consecrated Sphinx
: We all need some kind of card advantage...what is not too love to have it on a beatstick!
Gilded Drake
: Everything from Urza is too stupidly good...with that in mind, I'll be taking that creature from you ;D
It That Betrays
: Yeah along with the creature I just took from you, those permanents you have...they will be mine also...eventually >:)
Jhoira's Timebug
: To either speed up the final countdown or to stall it a bit longer due to complications...meaning stop preventing me from killing you!
Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur
: As I said time and time again, Praetors are too OP. Let this one resolve and it's pretty much game.
Kozilek, Butcher of Truth
: Oh yeah card advantage and a beatstick plus annihilator with a built in anti mill effect. I'm sold.
Pathrazor of Ulamog: Yeah them annihilator are sure annoying.
Phyrexian Metamorph
: Ohhh is that is a cool creature! I'm gonna have one too!
Rift Elemental
: Screams feed me.
Shivan Sand-Mage
: Another useful creature card that meshes well with Jhoira.
Sphinx Ambassador
: More of a flavor card, but makes games fun and interesting.
Timebender
: More creatures that benefits suspended creatures off the field.
Trinket Mage
: If you run artifacts, a must have card. Unless you are not running blue that is.
Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre
: Same as Kozilek minus the card advantage, but in return we destroy permanents xD
Ulamog's Crusher
: The last big bad Eldrazi in the deck, the others won't be as useful as the ones listed above.
Instants and Sorcery
Bribery
: So you are running goodstuff eh? I see that commander don't lie to me. I know you have something good!
Cyclonic Rift
: Yeah always need these types of cards to stall, useful more in mid-late game then early game.
Dig Through Time
: Delving really works well with this deck due to all the destruction you will be causing.
Enter the Infinite
: When you play this spell you better have Omniscience nearby! Otherwise your next turn will be your last so make it count!
Evacuation
: Yep, no need to explain just go with the flow.
Fabricate
: Artifact tutoring!!!
Fact or Fiction
: Most of the time this card has been helpful as all the cards are good in any situations...unless you somehow drew all lands. But even that is good haha.
Fury Charm
: Instant speed suspend counter removal sounds good! Add in the artifact hate makes this card an all-star for this deck.
Intuition
: Making an opponent choose between Ulamog, Jin-Gitaxias, and Kozilek is sure to lead into some interesting choices of words.
Merchant Scroll
: If not looking for a winning combo, then you are looking for the other tutor card.
Muddle the Mixture
: Used more for the transmute and tutoring up artifacts for more mana ramping.
Mystical Tutor
: With this card I almost always tutor up for a Obliterate or Bribery, depending on which opponent I am against.
Personal Tutor
: Same as above.
Ponder
: Useful as always but considering
Brainstorm
since that is at instant speed.
Reminisce
: Back up plan in case things are not looking as planned.
Steam Augury
: Almost the same as Fact or Fiction except the fact that you can organize the pile and the opponent's choose what you can keep.
Time Crafting: The most useful one of the suspended time counter adjusters, pretty much able to make it happen the next turn.
Time Reversal
: Another backup plan but with a built in
Reforge the Soul
, pretty sweet.
Time Warp
: Stalling tactics and time, we all need more time don't we.
Treasure Cruise
: With all these destruction and self library recursion, it is safe to say that this card will fit right in.
Walk the Aeons
: The buyback is a nice addition since you will be probably sac your lands withing the next couple turns or so.
Whelming Wave
: Look I am completely harmless...just let me bounce all your creatures and have my guy smash your face in :P
Enchantments
Omniscience
: This card was made to play with Jhoira, have this card suspended and get all your big creature cards in hand to play on the turn it goes off.
