bullred1mc Just take out all the cards over $100 - Get as many of the combo cards as possible and realistically this becomes a semi budget deck that should still be competitive. Cards to cut:

Prioritize things like: Rings of brighthearth Staff of domination metalworkerparadox engine any other combo cards

Have you tried adding Capsize, or is Words of Wind your personal choice over capsize? I typically run capsize in any deck that wants to use Paradox Engine, and mana rocks to go infinite.

Words of wind itself is a combo component. And capsize + paradox engine is fine, however Id rather use whim of volrath.

Can you explain the Divining Top + Para. Engine + Key/Rings infinite mana combos? I am not seeing it atm.

Any thoughts on Scrap Trawler, Krark-Clan Ironworks & Myr Retriever? (or am I thinking too Modern?)

To astants: ok first with ring, tap top to draw and then copy its ability. Therefore you draw a card and put top on the top of the library, then you draw another card, which is the top. Cast top to untap all non-land permanents and repeat the steps above. With key you can tap top to draw and as response to you top's ability, untap the top with key. Tap top to draw another card. I guess you get the idea to this point.

Wouldnt Herald of Kozilek be a good inclusion? Downside is it can be removed

Hi nice deck! I wanted to ask if the Metalworker combo has been performing well for you as the fact that he has summoning sickness sounds pretty bad when you already have so many ways to generate infinite mana. Also isnt Strionic Resonator a bit too cute?

Im thinking of cutting them for more stax/interaction as those seem to be needed to compete in the meta. Especially when you dont have that many answers to Nullrod/Stony or other Artifact hate.

How has the deck been performing for you?

Metalworker's summon sickness really is a problem, however having him out on turn one or two is really so advantageous so I still have him in the list. Strionic resonator is only a combo piece with paradox engine although sometimes can be used to copy jhoira's ability if needed.

markszncd have you considered Daretti, Scrap Savant i know its quite heavy in cost 3 but its kinda good cuz allows you to keep drawing or recover something from the GY, also counts as an Historic spell, on its own could be a 3 cards drawn,

also some "Invisible" combo xD with Helm of Awakening or any reduction, could make an infinite card/Storm count/Mana Krark-Clan Ironworks+Myr Retriever+Junk Diver i also run the Scrap Trawler it works like a backup plan and allows you to recover some important gear, I really like to play Grapeshot with Dramatic Scepter combo its quite ez to set up.

id personally replace springleaf drum with energy tap. it gives you 4 colorless with jhoira. better than the one from the drum.

rangerofanger I saw your comment. This might help you out. I have played 1v1 and in multiplayer settings with it and it seems to hold up quite well.

How about cutting Springleaf Drum for Lightning Bolt?. It's a cheap and efficient removal spell and doubles as an extra win con with Isochron Scepter and Paradox Engine

One of my favourite things I noticed when Jhoira came out was the interaction with Retraction Helix. With Jhoira, paradox Engine and any 0-cost artifact (preferably a Mox Opal or Mox Amber, it makes infinite mana and infinite draw.

It's just a thought for your deck, but it definitely finds its place and earns its keep in mine.

I got the idea from Shimmer Zur, but would Shimmer Myr be a possibility?

In scenario when either Ballista and Reservoir are exiled you mention you win with Words od Rebuke. How don't you mill yourself? Do you use sensei's top to slow the mill?

After decking myself I can pass the turn, which means I’ll be the last person having to draw a card.

Have you considered Jace. Wielder of Mysteries instead of Labman? I know your aversion to lab man was he's a dead card but Jace isn't dead... Well he might be we don't know yet, but he's not a dead card.

To DrkNinja: it's true that the new jace is not a dead card but it's just not a good card for my deck. To be honest I don't really need a labman effect card to end the game after drawing the whole deck. I have plenty of way of winning after decking myself so I'm not so worried about not having a way to finish things off.

How is Aetherflux Reservoir not in main deck?
