@Femme_Fatale: I replaced the standard deck with this edh decklist and I believe it still thinks the format is standard, instead of edh. But there are no illegal cards in this list.

@Femme_Fatale: You've figured me out! oh no is that the sarcastic siren of the non-extant tappedout police? Lol, yeah pretty much. I'm trying to have this deck surpass Epoch's as most-liked EDH deck, would you like to contribute to the cause?

@Nobilior: Thanks, don't forget to like it so you recieve notifications and such, I'm trying to have this deck surpass Epoch's as most-liked EDH deck.

I wish I could help, but I don't play EDH and I have no idea how to build an EDH deck.

Better ramp for mono decks are Gauntlet of Power , Extraplanar Lens , and Caged Sun . Fellwar Stone doesn't do you any good since it will only produce either blue or colorless mana. Other options for ramp are Mana Vault and Gilded Lotus . There is Temple of the False God instead of Ancient Tomb . I would run more Island instead of the search lands, and you could use Journeyer's Kite . Just my preference. Tolaria West can transmute for Pact of Negation or another land. Academy Ruins is good to get artifacts back. Good draw card creatures for blue are Arcanis the Omnipotent and Sphinx of Magosi . Other good blue creatures are Fatespinner , Grand Architect , Kira, Great Glass-Spinner , Lighthouse Chronologist , and Stormtide Leviathan . Since you have Bribery there is Acquire . For extra turns Beacon of Tomorrows , Time Stretch , and Time Warp . For hand renewal there is Time Spiral . Also Twincast is very good. Hinder and Desertion for counters.

Yes that's a lot but it's all just suggestion. All to user preference on a build really.

I believe it is because the last part of your user name say Fatale maybe?

Btw, what did this deck used to be? lol

And as for a serious comment, how well does Force Spike do? it doesn't seem that good of an EDH card to me.

tunnel vision is always nice

@Femme_Fatale: see your username, (as Nobilior said)

@MiniDragon: I avoid the mana rocks because everyone plays blue in competitive EDH, so it helps them too, Fellwar Stone is good for ramp, I need to hit my land drop each turn so Temple of the False God is too inconsistent before turn 6, fetchlands are good because they combo with Rings of Brighthearth I am avoiding Tolaria West because it is too slow, coming into play tapped, teh 6 mana draw creatures are too expensive, the other creatures are too niche, Acquire is a situational Gilded Lotus , the other cards are too expensive (mana-cost wise), Time Spiral might be good, I'll think about it.

@Nobilior: Force Spike is good for countering early commander spells, or anything, because having one U up means the opponent will not expect anything. This deck used to be Blood Artist

@phatpatdargonmaster51: Tunnel Vision has a mini-combo with Hinder but that is too inconsistent, otherwise it is a very poor Worldly Tutor for 6 mana.

Thanks for the critique!!

@ Nobilior

MTG_Player, looks like now you have to compete with Swamps for most upvoted EDH...

The only thing I can see that this deck is missing is a static way to play at instant speeds. Somthing like Leyline of Anticipation or Vedalken Orrery gives you a chance to maximixe turns.

October 4, 2013 5:49 a.m.

Also adding a Treasure Mage would give you another way to fetch out Rings of Brighthearth since most of the combos require it.

Caged Sun only affects you

October 7, 2013 11:40 p.m.

hey @mtg_player could you look at my mono red edh ?

October 9, 2013 4:09 p.m.

Isochron Scepter seems like it could do some good here, what with all the low-cost counters, i.e. Counterspell , Mana Leak , Swan Song , Delay ...

Just a correction on the description... Mind Twist is black. you must've meant Timetwister or something.

One suggestion I can think of Mirrorworks Instead of probably Phyrexian Metamorph . With Rings of Brighthearth , you can produce 3x more artifacts.

Mind Twist was his way of describing the opponent-crippling power inside Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur

Tolaria West is too good in this deck not to consider. It may quote "come into play tapped" but who is going to use tolaria west as a land? It transmutes all the goodies in your deck, it finds those land-based answers you built into your deck that won't normally work reliably against specific matchups considering you have to clarify the odds of seeing a deck that runs a specific card, then further proceed to draw the card you do need during that particular game. Tolaria West = any answer you need at the time, including a timely Pact of Negation , situation suiting. Plus the targets Everflowing Chalice (an infinite combo piece, Mana Vault , and Mox Opal are extremely relevant to the playstyle of the deck. In short, Tolaria West is another Expedition Map that does it's job just as well as the land-digging artifact itself and so much more. So why not run it?

Ah, gotcha. I was the drawing ability left too much of a deep impression to me that I forgot all about the hand size ability of Jin. =.=

Lol yeah a free Forced Fruition every turn can make a combo deck work pretty well sometimes...

Did you ever consider putting one of the Eldrazi gods with all the mana you have? Kozilek, Butcher of Truth is great because of hand accel(which you don't necessarily need), and he's a 12/12 with annihilator 4. Or maybe even Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre because he can remove Iona, Shield of Emeria or other issues you have, and is an indestructible 10/10.

Also, once you get Jin out, how do you keep him alive. The issue I have is that once I put him out he is an immediate target, and I know there are only so many counterspells in your deck to protect him. Maybe a Lightning Greaves , Swiftfoot Boots , and/or Darksteel Plate to help him stay alive.

Also, another great card to add in would be Land Equilibrium . You can play the majority of your cards with 3 islands out at most, plus you have all the mana rocks to boot. This could protect you against high cost commanders and such.

One more thing (I promise): While you can bribery it, Blightsteel Colossus is an awesome card that goes well together with your mana ramp. Any creature that it blocks or gets block by is usually dead, and if there are no blockers it's gg for them.

Oh and the eldrazi are also a great win con.
