An idea I dreamt up, like, sleeping dreamt. Actually the dream was a nightmare and I was going up against something like this. I think i probably ought to take a break from MTG for a little while. But in the meantime, enjoy the fleshed out version. I think this actually has strong potential.

The idea is to use Lightning Bolt, Doom Blade (or Grasp of Darkness against black) ratchet bomb and Consuming Vapors to keep the board free of debris (read: opponent's creatures) until I can get some of the heavy hitters out: i.e. Grave Titan, Steel Hellkite to keep them beaten down, wurmcoil engine to, well, Wurmcoil Engine them, Abyssal Persecutor (naturally), and Conquering Manticore to take their creatures, Bazaar Trader to make sure they don't go back over. Furthermore, most of these have good synergy with the Mimic Vat, and/or Jinxed Idol. For example, get your wurmcoil on the vat, and if the idol shows up on your side of the board you can sac the 6/6 wurmcoil token to the idol before turn end to get the 3/3 tokens, which stick around to cause more headaches!

How can I make this better? Alternatively, +1 if you think it gives the beats. If I get enough encouragement behind this one, I might just make the investment and build it to take to tournament.
