The idea behind a Clone deck is that you pay four mana for a creature that someone else paid a lot more mana for. This is essentially a clone deck. If I'm not casting an actual clone I'm paying five mana (WUBRB) for my opponents' commanders. And I know I have access to my playgroups' commanders because I slot them in between our weekly games. LOL. This is a bit of a troll deck and it is SO MUCH fun to pilot.

There are so many different ways to win with this deck and I'm constantly changing the creatures in it. The deck never gets boring to play. Big takeaways: Fetch lands are good, green ramp is good. Surprise, surprise.

Update 10/1/21

Woooow so much has happened since I last updated this list. A global pandemic, for starters. But also, Magic cards got a hell of a lot better. They printed the Triomes, which this deck loves. Golos, Tireless Pilgrim came and went. This deck was fond of that robot. My playgroup not so much. The clones are so much better now. Spark Double and Sakashima of a Thousand Faces break the game in half. Clones already let you cheat on mana, and letting you cheat the legendary rule is pretty gross.

One thing that hasn't changed in the last two years: This is my absolute favorite deck and it's a joy to pilot.

Update 3/4/19

Murmuring Bosk is great! I still really need to get it out turn one or two but with nine ways to tutor for it I'm bound to get it out early on.

Traverse the Ulvenwald out / x1 Creature slot in

I'm not gonna keep up with the creature changes (like Chromium got played last weekend and is coming right back out again) but I'll try to keep the shell up to date. Time of Need has been more relevant, more often than Traverse the Ulvenwald so Ulvenwald is out for now.

Update 3/2/2019

Mana Confluence out / Murmuring Bosk in

This might be a bad decision but I argued to my playgroup that tapped and fetchable was better than untapped and unfetchable. It could be this would only apply to a five color deck. It could be I'm just wrong. Only one way to find out.

Sheltered Thicket out / Tropical Island in

Honestly Sheltered Thicket has a better chance of getting back in the deck than Mana Confluence. I love the cycling duals. But I'm slowly (very slowly) grinding store credit to get back the duals I had to sell way back when I was unemployed. So Sheltered Thicket is on the sidelines for the time being.
