This is a 5-color EDH budget deck I'm trying to brew. Pretty much all of the cards worth more than $10 are ones I already own/got lucky and opened from packs (looking at you, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse). Simple breakdown of the deck: play legendary creatures/spells and get massive value. There are a handful of themes and modes to play into which I think makes for a fun deck.

Value Engines: Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain, The Peregrine Dynamo, Braids, Arisen Nightmare, Ratadabrik of Urborg, Yidris, Maelstrom Wanderer, and Maelstrom Nexus are all great cards that help us get more out of our deck either helping us draw through the deck to more stuff, getting extra spells with cascade or just milking a little extra from our legendary creatures. Combos and Synergies: Braids, Arisen Nightmare + Meren of Clan Nel Toth The triggers can be stacked such that Braids resolves first and then Meren gets to return whatever creature was sacrificed.

Ratadabrik of Urborg + Meren of Clan Nel Toth Even if Meren gets killed, Ratadabrik re-animates a non-legendary token copy which can continue the engine...Meren NEEDS to be exiled when Rat is on the field and Rat (along with pretty much any of our other creatures) NEEDS to be exiled while Meren is on the field...this leads into:

Kaya the Inexorable: Pretty much we will draw mass exile at some point; if we don't get the re-animation strats with Meren or Loran or anything else going, we will try to ultimate Vivien Reid and give everything indestructible. Kaya lets us circumvent what could otherwise bring us to a crippling halt with her ultimate. And these spells still trigger Maelstrom Nexus if it's on the field. And if she hits the field with Contagion Engine up and active, we can activate contagion engine for an immediate ultimate.

Helm of the Host + Urza, Prince of Kroog One helm is never enough. Urza's ability can also be copied by The Peregrine Dynamo or Dynaheir, Invoker Adept to get extra Helms to equip our board and watch it continue to multiply.

Win-Cons: Just simply overwhelm opponents with value that continuously re-animates itself. Progenitus is always good and can be cast much easier with Ramos, Dragon Engine. And my personal favorite is Door to Nothingness (preferably flashing it in before your turn starts with Liberator, Urza's Battlethopter or Raff Capashen, Ship's Mage) and copying its activation with things such as Ashnod the Uncaring, Dynaheir, Invoker Adept, Kurkesh, Onakke Ancient, Tawnos, Urza's Apprentice and The Peregrine Dynamo to just make all of our opponents lose in one swoop. Ajani, Sleeper Agent takes advantage of all the creatures we will be casting off of our commander and/or other cascade effects to slowly kill opponents if they let him ultimate with poison counters (just need one and then Contagion Engine or Inexorable Tide can finish them off). Worst case scenario we can try to chain Platinum Angel with Kyodia, Soul of Kamigawa and Helm of the Host to try and make ourselves near-impossible to kill and try to convince opponents they're better off going after each other first then pick off the last survivor.

HELP NEEDED: My main problem/concern is greater interaction with opponents and their boards. Currently the deckstyle is a lot more like me playing solitaire than actually playing Magic. Additionally, help with the mana-base is appreciated (first time brewing a 5-color deck, too much lands/mana-rocks? too little? Any other good budget options I'm missing?) Suggestions for cuts I could make and/or other things that might be good to consider appreciated as well.
