Jokulhaups Control decks have been doing quite well lately. While there have been new printings that significantly upgraded certain versions of the deck, which contributes to this success, I think at the core of it the Red Control strategy is well-positioned right now. This is evidenced by Magic Online player Granham coming second in a Legacy Challenge with a really interesting take on the Control archetype that eschews any cards printed over the past few months. I generally like to highlight any time a player does well with a deck that’s built in a unique way, and I think this qualifies, despite having some similar core elements.
