I'm very intrigued by Jori En, Ruin Diver as a commander for sure, this deck looks quite solid. I'm not sure what I'd remove (as I don't have a ton of experience with artifact based decks), but you could possibly make a spot for Thada Adel, Acquisitor in the deck as she's another Merfolk and has artifact flavor so she's on theme. If she hits you can easily take the best artifact you can find...even if you don't have the mana to actually play it, it exiles it so you won't have to deal with it later!

With the cards in your deck, I think my favorite way to win is Mycosynth Lattice with an overloaded Vandalblast. I've won many a game by cause everyone to scoop when that resolves, haha. Good luck with the deck and +1 for me as I love Izzet decks!

This is a really solid build, though I question the inclusion of Artificer's Epiphany over Divination, which has an identical cmc and does away with the needless condition of controlling an artifact (although I do realize that controlling an artifact in this deck is not a difficult feat)

"I need more spot removal and ways to deal with noncreature threats."

Let me reciprocate the deck help =)

Oblivion Stone, Lux Cannon (Former and latter work amazing with Voltaic Key//Voltaic Construct), Ratchet Bomb, Engineered Explosives(Mana pending) and lastly Karn Liberated as well as Ugin, the Spirit Dragon can help with spot removal.

Caligula, I considered both O-Stone and Cannon, but they're both just too slow for my meta. O-Stone might work, but the Cannon (or me, for that matter) would get killed before it went off.

Ratchet Bomb, on the other hand... It works great against tokens and little 1-drops... That may be something to consider!

Karn Liberated was in the earliest version of this deck, but I pulled him in favor of Ugin, the Spirit Dragon because both removal abilities are the minus abilities, but Ugin's not only is adaptable, it hits everything, and then his plus can be used as removal too.

I see, my bad there.

Thirst for Knowledge would be better than Artificer's Epiphany or just good along side it

First of all, nice build. I'm excited to see the different possibilities of Jori En as a commander. I am currently running her in a mid-speed, combo-oriented deck that runs Twin, Deadeye, and some other interesting UR combos for win-cons.

From the outside looking in, do you find yourself producing too much mana and not doing enough stuff?

buildingadeck Sometimes. That's why I'm looking at cards like Tower of Fortunes: it's a useful mana sink.

This is a really awesome deck. I have a Hanna Artifacts EDH deck myself (I don't have the decklist up yet; I plan to soon) and I love seeing other people's Artifact EDH decks. When I saw Jori En, I originally didn't think of her as an Artifact Commander (my idea for a U/R Artifacts Commander was Jhoira), but I'm glad to see somebody else can think out of the box better than I can.

Love the deck! When i saw Jori En, i thought she would be amazing as an artifact general! Awesome job! Cant wait to sleeve this up.

IamDead2Self... You mean you're going to use my exact list?! I'm honored! Thank you! Do you have any ideas to improve the deck? I've been trying to streamline it, maybe add more removal and card draw.

Honestly the only thing I am planning on editing is the mana base to add fetches. But that's because I already own them. Its stupid expensive otherwise. But yes this is pretty much the list except I probably will unswap Blightsteel and Hellkite Tyrant.

February 25, 2016 2:34 p.m.

IamDead2Self, I should warn you to not mess with the mana base too much... It's somewhat finicky, because if you can't get to at least 3 mana, you can't really do much of anything. Decreasing the amount of mana-generating lands may be a risky idea, even if they are replaced with fetches.

ArantirTheDestroyer truely good list. I only suggest you Metalworker and.......some other land?!? only 31?!?! XD

March 2, 2016 10:28 a.m.

DVLuca, there's 10 manafacts. If I can get to 3 mana, I can easily go further than that, just because of the amount of artifact mana in the deck. I'll usually keep on 2 lands, and hope for a third, and it usually happens within the three draws I have before I need that third land.

Got to admit, I never expected to see Jori En in command of an artifact deck... I guess I don't tend to think in terms of artifacts, I'm more of an enchantment guy myself. Love it, hope to see something like it someday in a game room. Plus 1

March 5, 2016 2:38 p.m.

nyctophasm, I like enchantress decks myself, but is just not the color combination for them. I'm actually working on one in Abzan colors right now, just need a general for it! It'll run things like Krond the Dawn-Clad and Daxos the Returned.

Thirst for Knowledge seems good here

March 13, 2016 7:29 p.m.

Thephelddagrif I've been considering it to replace Artificer's Epiphany. Do you think it'd be better for this deck than Epiphany?

This deck came within a turn of overpowering my Arjun, "Luck" of the Draws deck with that damnable Hellkite Igniter breathing down my neck. Bravo sir, bravo! Surprisingly quick, and I love the flavor!

March 13, 2016 11:21 p.m.

SaulX05, ha, there's a reason my friends and I call Hellkite Igniter "Rocket-Powered Turbo Dragon!" Honestly, in this deck, it'll hit the battlefield around Turn 5-8, depending on my draws (assuming have the dragon, of course), and just randomly one-shot people because of the sheer number of artifacts I run!

March 14, 2016 8:52 a.m.

I think Thirst for Knowledge is better than Artificer's Epiphany because you draw an extra card and get to dig extra. The discard isn't too bad when you get to dig farther
